William Shuttleworth is nearing the end of a very long walk. As he walks across the country, the 71-year-old man is inspiring others about how they can support their local veterans.

I've been to 7 states. But in 2 years, (or if my future self is reading this, I'll have 14 States in chronological order: West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, Pennsylvania, (end of before I wrote this comment) Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, and Colorado

Just started my walk a few days ago. Headed to Amarillo first, then into OK and onward. Not all who wander are lost!

Awesome walk/work. I'm a Disabled US Veteran. I served in the Vietnam Era. My Husband flew in & out of Vietnam. He's a member of the VFW. We're both interested/in process of becoming members of the POW-MIA group, something that has lain heavy upon my heart since I was old enough to understand the issue. Today, I hear so many denigrating the very humanity of older Americans; as if it's perfectly acceptable that grandparents or others w chronic illness to die. Who cares, is the current attitude. I'm appalled & angry. I have contributed in many ways to our communities. The values I hold are important to myself & others. Think BEFORE you write off a whole group of people!
