Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this video. I have a 14 year old dog that was bitten by a spider. He ended up with a huge lump, about the size of my hand, overnight. I looked up cancer and it shows that cancers do not just appear like his did. I've been trying to treat him at home because I do not have the money for a vet bill. By making this video, it is my belief, you saved his life. I cannot thank you enough!

Just wanted to say that I tried this on our stray cat. I used a hot compress with a paper towel, flushed out wound with black tea, and used honey from our bee-hive as a topical solution (but you can use table honey that you get from the store like he said). AND IT WORKED!! 😍 Thank you!

THIS WORKS. When I watched this video while my dog had a huge open wound from my other dog accidentally biting her ear during playtime, I was begging for someone to say how it worked for them. I used liquid antibacterial soap and warm water on a clean rag and would clean her ear out with soft pats. Than I took a q-tip and dipped it into my wildflower honey and covered her wound with it every morning and every night. And oh my goodness, 7 days it was all cleared up! I was scared by the large scab that it was getting infected but it was healing right up. This guy has helped me with sooo many problems at home with my dogs from ear infections to bites to allergy problems. He’s saved me a LOT of money lol

It gets very expensive running back and forth to the vet for every time something happens. I have had animals my whole life and am always trying to search ways to test them at home but I don't always trust my searches. Now I know you are a real vet offering and passing your knowledge to us. I trust that. Thank you so much! I Will continue to come back to you when I'm in dought. Thank you, thank you, thank you. The vet I saw would not give me any home care instructions of the wound, relying on an expensive systemic antibiotic when my kitten had no fever, no sign of abscess (rushed him in right away) and bite wound was deep cleaned, and my little kitten has FIP, managed so far through natural remedies and homeopathy. I join the chorus below to thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I work at a feed store. I run the pet department, order the feed, make the choices. Many many customers call me the little vet because I give advice or try to help them figure out what is going on. 99 percent of these are people that can't afford a vet. Be aware, before I get slammed, I always tell them I'm not a vet, and if I don't know for sure if it is a life threatening issue I recommend a vet. I do my research, I have many many books. But so many can't afford the vet costs so if I can help save an animal life or suffering I call it a win. I have even diagnosed an issue with a dog that the vet couldn't but verified it to be true. I value these videos and have downloaded the book. I am so very very thankful for this person. I thank you and my "clients" thank you and if they could I'm sure the person would thank you.

Thank you for this info. I know this teaching is about pets like dogs and cats, but maybe this story can help someone with larger pets or livestock. Years ago, a horse got bit by a poisonous snake where right front leg joins the body. His caretakers were throwing powdered antibiotics into his pelleted feed he wouldn't eat. No follow up vet care after first visit. We arrived on the 2nd week he was swollen from top of withers, throughout shoulder and the chest. So emaciated several hundred pounds underweight. You could smell the diseased tissue from quite a distance. We rushed to only open store a walmart, bought a douche/enema bag, betadine for women's hygiene, epsom salts and towels. Warm epsom salts compress opened the bite wound allowing to administer the betadine solution. Using the rectal tip, we filled the bottle with diluted betadine, carefully put nozzle in the open wound holding the bag just high enough for solution to drain into it. At first, just solution from bag was coming out, then suddenly the rotten stinking cellulitis infection started flowing out like lava. Yellow thick and gross. Did this every day for a week along with getting the vet to administer penicillin shot, should have been done first day. We handfed the oral antibiotics in molasses, oatmeal cookies, and sweet feed. 4th day horse felt better his appetite returned. Asked the vet why she didn't administer a shot first day, or open the wound to allow drainage, she said she was afraid of encouraging further infection by introducing bacteria etc. This horse would have died that week had we not gotten there just in time. In one month he was completely healed. We took the horses and 4 months later they looked like their beautiful stocky old selves living in great loving care once again.

@spiralrose that was in North Carolina. We were stunned at the nonchalance of it all. Horse was a stunningly beautiful red bay quater horse 1,500 lbs of muscle down to 1,000 lbs. Vet said she'd never have thought of doing what we did using warm Epsom salts soak, then the douche bag filled with diluted betadine using rectal tip to clean out the rotted flesh. To her credit she did administer the penicillin shot and gave us the okay to transport out of state by end of week when he was strong enough to move. And thanked us for showing her new ideas, that she would be more creative for solutions in the future.

I know this was posted forever ago, but I want to say thank you so much for making it. It's so frustrating when everyone just wants to say "go to the vet" for every little thing that happens, especially since so many things really can be handled from home. My cat has an abscess on his tail. It's already burst and has started a cycle of weeping/scabbing, and that's just my cat taking care of it himself. There's not much swelling and he's still eating/drinking/going potty like normal, but I did notice a bit of a smell and would just feel better cleaning it up. I was planning on using just a tiny bit of diphenhydramine (~12mg) to act as a calming/sleeping agent, then a diluted hydrogen peroxide to soften the scab and clean the wound. But I'm nervous about the effectiveness of the diphenhydramine.

Cleaned it with hydrogen peroxide initially up until I read that it is not good for cleaning pet wounds as it destroys cells important for tissue regrowth or something like that. Great great Video. Wow. I tell ya. It’s few and far between these days. My dog had a protruding abscess, it ruptured. So we Went to the vet, vet gives Zoe a 2 week antibiotic shot. And I mean that was it. That’s all he did. He never trimmed the area. (My dog was quite hairy. (Long hair schnauzer). He told me to leave it alone and come back in two weeks if it hasn’t drained. This guy never flushed it out. He didt do anything. So I took a good look at it, two days after the visit. And common sense said to cut the hair around wound. Anyway. Great video. This saved me. Plus my neighbor harvest honey from bees in his yard. So I’ll get plenty of that

My cat had a ruptured gland. Same experience. Antibiotics and pain meds, but no cleaning and no advice on cleaning. Told to let it be. This is uncomfortable for the pet and makes them want to lick it even more. After some research I decided to give a warm saline compress a couple of times and also ordered Leucillin spray.

I've healed burst abscesses my other kitty had before so I know what to do from there! Thank you so much for these videos to help out furry friends 💖💖💖💖

What are your thoughts on using a colloidal silver solution to flush the wound? Thanks for the video!
@lyndafay85282 жыл бұрын
Why? Why not use saline solution or just cooled boiled water?
@sannahenderson2 жыл бұрын
Because it's antibacterial. Kind of a stupid question actually, I don't know why I asked.

I have 8 cats & 2 dogs so I can relate. They're all 2nd hand adoptions. I have strict routines providing care for all. My mother was a Vet so I'm more knowledge than most but always seek to learn more. Tending wounds, abcesses or flea allergies can run me ragged till I get past the infection stage into healing but it's a labor of love. I believe they know I'm helping them. They usually cooperate & trust me once we build a bond. They're my babies, giving me unconditional love & companionship. It's my way of giving back to God because I'm grateful for my many blessings. Really appreciate these videos & use natural cures when possible. Thanks for sharing.

Yes! I always forget about honey, (as you said "overlooked") and also it is oh so soothing to skin! Great job doc!

Thank you thank you thank you!!! I was ready to bring my cat in to vet but I knew it would cost so much, so I decided to give this a try first. It worked! It was so hard to cut the hair because it was stuck on with the blood, but I got as much as I could. I cleaned his wound with the black tea 2 or 3 times a day, followed by Vetericyn Plus Wound and Skin Care that I got from Amazon. I put a cone on him to keep him from further hurting himself and infecting it. It took a little over a week, but he is almost fully healed. I didn’t try the honey because I was afraid my dogs would lick it off, but I’m sure that helps greatly too. Thank you again!

Thanks your channel has been of great benefit to me. I always tell others about you. I was at the vet last week, my cat fractured his leg....I told the woman who thought her ferret had ear mites, and was charged a big fee just to be told he wasnt that she could be doing it herself and to check you out. I should carry cards with your your YT channel name, cos Im always finding a pen to write it down. Ive just watched a video of a woman treat a cat whos throat was ripped open. It was horrific, we could see the poor boys insides. Anyway, she used manuka honey and it totally healed. The video is called; 'mauled cat healed with herbs and honey' the channel is 'Off Grid With Doug And Stacy'. Ive never seen anything like it really. Im gonna invest in a jar specifically for medical uses. As its not cheap
