At 20:00 Hats off to Suriya's understanding on Reservation. He too is from a privileged background but still learned about Social Justice. That one scene was so odd in 7lam arivu. Kudos to Suriya. Even people from privileged backgrounds, like Suriya, have had to educate themselves about these issues. This is because political parties have never bothered to educate the public about these important topics. As a result, many dominant castes, such as BCs and MBCs, who enjoy a higher percentage of reservations (50%), spew venom on the 18% SC reservation. This is a serious problem, as it perpetuates caste discrimination and inequality. Periyar was a great champion of social justice, but he did not only work for Dalits (SCs). He also fought for the rights of OBCs, and it was the BCs and MBCs who were the main beneficiaries of his work. It is important to remember that reservations are not a zero-sum game. When one group benefits from reservations, it does not mean that another group loses out. In fact, everyone benefits when we have a more just and equitable society. A recent incident showcased that Vanniyar community who protested against dalits entry into the temple says that they need reservation like SCs without knowing that they already are in 20% MBC reservation. I urge all Tamils to learn more about reservations and casteism. We need to have a better understanding of these issues if we are to build a more just and inclusive society.

Udhay is such a wonderful human being. The scene when the pigs were attacked was too sad. I wish I could sit and talk to Udhay about that scene. It seemed so real. Udhay 's reaction when he saw the dead pigs was really sad.😢
