I was really interested to see for myself how good this budget cooler really was. Jayz2cents was shocked how good it was and it seemed to perform better than his 240mm AIO, I was sceptical to say the least.
I am happy to say that actually this thing is great, lovely ARGB lighting great looking well designed tower and quite often available for less than £30 here in the UK.
The specs on the box are little off, but only really the fan RPMs which is actually better than the box says! Although the noise rating is optimistic to be honest 30dba is basically silence, or the lowest sound floor in an empty room.
It isn't noisy even at full load but certainly a little more than 30dba under full load which is about 1800rpm +/- 10%
Overall a really good cooler and it will most likely be my go to for future builds if the pricing holds.
9/10 overall rating Vetroo. Nothing is perfect but this comes very close.

At this price point its up there with the mighty Snowman or the Hyper 212. Looks like it performs too as well as showing off all that RGB goodness. A pretty good option for most folk up to around the 3900x where it starts to show it is not struggling but full load temps do rise a bit and starts to feel like it needs more cooling

interesting to see thermal paste in a tube with this rather than the usual 1 use paper package or pre applied. I personally like matt black coolers over the silver ones. Does look like a nice cooler

Thanks sky appreciate it. It is in my system still with the 3900x but I tried the noctua 12u and the noctua is a few degrees cooler and a lot quieter at full rpm but it is good considering the cost

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I saw this cooler reviewed on Jay Z Two Cents and he really liked it. I think it kept his system cooler than his water cooled rig? I immediately went to Amazon and bought one. As always great reviews Mike. Cheers from across the Pond.

You are correct jay did review it. i really don't know how he managed the temps he was getting, mine wasn't as good but close. most decent 120mm tower style coolers in normal use will be very similar to an aio in use. it is things like rendering or overclocking to extremes that is starts changing the overall performance

What directions are the fans blowing in your case in the background? I'm looking at putting this cooler into a case that has the same layout. What's the best airflow pattern for that kind of case? Great in depth review by the way!

top fans exhaust, side fans exhaust and bottom fans intake, and regardless of the fan setup the temps always are very similar

Hey question. I have the P400a as well as the Vetroo V5 and I'll be doing my build in a few days. My question is where exactly am I plugging in the RGB for the fan with the cooler? I bought 3 additional Phanteks 120mm fans that match the 3 front fans in the case and those will all be daisy chained together. But does the RGB from the CPU fan get chained to all the RGB from the case fans? Or does the RGB from the CPU fan just get plugged into one of the RGB headers on the mobo sperately? Thanks for all your tutorials btw you've been super helpful!!!

Have you tested the Vetroo U6 ?? i have seen so many reviews on the V5 but about the U6 almost nothing, some people says it's a bad cooler, some people says it's great if you replace the stock fans with a better ones, i'm kinda confused It would be great if you do a Vetroo U6 review :) you earned a sub.

the fuma 2 i haven't seen yet but it is much more expensive and from the results at GN it looks like it is only a few degrees less so i would save the money and put it towards a gpu

pretty much the same thing really. they all perform around the same levels this one might have the slight edge being generally cheaper and slightly better in terms of cooling than others

Can I plug ARGB into a controller like the Razer Chroma? My motherboard doesn't have ARGB ports and I want to use an external controller to manipulate RGB from Razer Synapse 3.

and after 1 week, the fans broke... until it it worked very fine but now mine is buzzing and cant even lubricate because its sealed under the sticker.

Does it matter which way you install the actual cooler? Because both sides of the cooler look the same(not the fan)

either way works but the logo on the top will be reversed or point the other way

As previously stated I have one on my 3700X and for general use and gaming, (where Temps are generally a lot lower than Benchmark figures - unless you just want to Benchmark all day of course) it's absolutely fine. Although On Cinebench R23 M/C it hovered around 67-69*C and scored 12236 (Stock). I actually got mine for £25.27 on Amazon with Free Delivery. But I have to say I suppose if you have a £500.00 CPU and £1200.00 GPU why would one complain about having to pay 30 quid for a Cooler......???? The mind boggles. To be honest I would've been happy to pay twice as much

there are a few options, the gamemax ARGB hub we reviewed a while back and will do the job if you don't have an ARGB controller on the motherboard

A few weeks ago i purchased a 3 pack of Vetroo ARGB fans, standard 3 pin and they daisy chain together so ideal for any modern build. £25 delivered from Amazon. There's one issue though, the ones i have are 3pin DC which fine and they work but the rpm sense on all 3 of them are awful, 200-15,000rpm according to the monitoring software..haha

Too bad it is the same price with shipping in Canada than the noctua nh-u12a redux. 62.39$ vs 62.95$ for the noctua. Maybe one day it will go prime.

@@irishjohn1066 yeah.. If you don't mind to wait 3 or 4 week, the Snowman is a good option. And as opposed to Mike, I had good succes with the uphere cooler, but I did use it only on 65w cpu.
