2014 Beloit International Film Festival - Winner of the Ken Hendricks Award For Excellence.
200 WWII and Korean War Veterans and Rosie the Riveters. 100 Assistants. 10 Badger Buses. 4 days that will change their lives!
We were honored to be invited to film the VetsRoll 2013 WWII and Korean War Honor Trip to Washington, D.C. We witnessed how this trip gave 200 WWII, Korean War Veterans and Rosie the Riveters the respect they deserved but don't always receive. Sit back and enjoy a video that will change your perspective on thanking a veteran and how much it truly means to them! Please SHARE this video and get the word out to veterans that could go on this trip completely for FREE! Visit www.VetsRoll.org for more information, and keep up to date on our feature documentary, VetsRoll The Movie, coming in 2015!
Follow along on our trip as we travel from Beloit, WI to Washington, D.C. as VetsRoll takes these men and women on a trip of a lifetime to visit the memorials that were erected in honor of their service to our country! Learn how much this trip means to them because it gives these men and women the respect they deserve, and sometimes never got.
Hear it in their own words:
"When we came back...it wasn't like WWII, or that matter, the Vietnam War...nobody knew we existed. The Forgotten War....It should have never been forgotten." - William Wienand, Korean War Veteran
"I didn't ever think I'd get treated this way in my life...I want to get home to my wife, but I hate to leave you guys" -Ray Bollinger, Korean War Veteran
"I never saw anything like it. When I come back from Korea...I got a cup of coffee and a donut. And this [the VetsRoll return home] was just absolutely fantastic! - Don Knutson, Korean War Veteran
If you're interested in writing letters for "Mail Call" (you'll see this in the video!) please address them to VetsRoll Mail Call 1777 Gardner St South Beloit IL 61080. Deadline is March 1, 2014 Thank you!

God Bless these heroes! God Bless all of our generations of veteran heroes who have fought, died, and served their country. All of you are my heroes, not a president or a celebrity. But those that have served, YOU are MY heroes.

What a great way to honor our veterans. Thank you so much for making this wonderful film about it. How I wish that my dad, a Korean War veteran who passed away in 2007, could have experienced something like this himself.

Cameron, Stephen (and Lil' Gabe)...words and emotions cannot capture what your lens has produced here!! As with Ruben's 2012 VetsRoll video, this will help us get the word out on a national scale and perhaps one day soon; VetsRoll will be a household word. Your ability to capture the human side of this unique 4-day, all-expenses paid journey for America's senior Veterans and 'Rosies' are simply amazing. Perhaps we need to get Kimberly-Clark as a sponsor for the next video!! THANK YOU!!!

This was just...excellent. It's sure nice to see so many patriots of the Constitution all hanging out and supporting one another. Such like minded men & women are who created this country & it's nice to see so many coming together to help make these older veterans travel such a wonderful experience. As a former SEAL, I would like to say, "Thank You" on behalf of all of us Veterans. Ty for creating this video. Hooyah & God Bless.

This brought tears to my eyes and made me think of my Father who served in the Korean War. Thank you so much for taking the time to document such a wonder service. Brothers in arms yesterday, today and tomorrow. We as a country owe them a debt and we also owe them the respect to not lose the freedom they fought and some gave their lives for.

What a terrible shame that here in the land of the free, these wonderful servicemen and servicewoman need to fight another battle. With tears in my eyes, I send you my thanks and respect. Plus to all that helped make this journey possible, my appreciation for your time and effort. Love to my father who also served during WWII. (1917-2007).

Thanks Mark! It would be awesome for everyone to hear about this organization! What a great opportunity not only for the Veterans but for those volunteers who get to experience the conversations, stories and tears first hand with the heroes! Thank you for the opportunity to capture this! We're eager to get some of the raw interviews online.

One thing we did not catch, were the folks who follow on Facebook. We commonly experience supporters on bridge overpasses, rest areas and destination stops that will be waiting with flags, children, loved ones and waving or saluting our 12 vehicle convoy as it rolls along! We even get State Patrol escorts from PA all the way back to WI and have photos of Police, Fire and Military saluting our heroes as we roll along! The entire VetsRoll experience is what America needs...patriotism and closure!
