Do it, you don't have to be a "musician" to play music for fun.. Everyone is able to play music, draw and sing - just do it. :)

Just ordered one off Amazon, haven’t played an instrument since Violin in the 6th grade, so excited to mess around with it. I wanna get a theremin too but figured I should get a simpler instrument first to re-enter the world of music.

I've had one for about 6 months, I love it, and it came with a book of playable tunes. Definitely a fun thing to play.

That's a beautiful instrument. I just bought one from VEXOOM and my son loves it so much. Indeed came in beautiful packaging and with Instructions for beginners exactly how you presented it.

@@pukasmom I bought it from Amazon. Around 55$. It's a wonderful instrument. Just search for Vexoom steel drum and you will see immediately the main image of the product with their green box packaging and instructions for beginners manual. Have fun with it!

I prefer it with the plug out and playing with the hands. I want one of these for my meditations they seem very enjoyable.

You get a lot more out of the higher notes without the plug, overall a nice addition to anybodies percussive repertoire

Thanks for your review. I've been studying Hand Drums to find one that's affordable, yet gives me the calming tones I'm seeking. It seems like they are kind of like wind chimes. The bigger, better tones.... I could see someone banking up a small one with a larger one for different tones though.

:x as usual, they try to sell it as a "yoga" instrument, as an éducational tool, etc... at least it doesn't cost an arm, But a glockenspiel cost 20 euros, and is chromatic, 2-3 octaves. For new age fashion victims only.

On Amazon a glockenspiel costs slightly more than this tongue drum - but I get your point. One thing people seem to like is that tongue drums have the option of being played with hands. I would like a higher-end tongue drum as they have a nicer tone than this tongue drum or glockenspiel, which tends to be tinny. But I see a lot of these 'unboxings' on YT (they tend not to call them 'reviews') - everyone has to make a living I guess.

I'll pass on the VEXOOM 6" Steel Tongue Drum. Not because it's a diatonic instrument. My Romanian alto pan flute and harmonicas are diatonic instruments. The reason being, unlike my pan flute and harmonicas, the VEXOOM 6" Steel Tongue Drum only plays in one octave. 😢 🎶
