I know a couple of guys that have been hooked up by Vans for many years. Vans have stuck by them through thick and thin. Not many companies would do that

The Rowley XL2's are my favorite skate shoe of all time!

My favorite shoes. I have crazy weird feet and finding a shoe that fits can be hard. Snowboard boots would cutoff the circulation to my toes and they would get so cold and painful I would be pulling my boot off on the lift to relieve the pain! Well it was all fixed when I found Vans. I guess I also found proper boot-fitting and made my own footbeds to increase pressure on metatarsal arch. I also Rode Vans snow back when their outerwear was made by The North Face. Have a sample of Andreas Wiig’s crazy down insulated gore-tex jacket in that print that made my homies dizzy hahaha. Rode Agency bindings, too. I was at a shop so all this stuff was available cheap but most of it was free. Shout out to Fitz for affording me some of the best memories of my life. Having random stuff show up with your name on it and not knowing what’s inside was straight XXXmas 😂. I’m a cripple now since 2015. I hate it I miss my soul, dude. I miss gear. I miss the homies. A tech rep job had just opened with a major company and it was to be my next upgrade in life. Oh well. I had to move shortly after I recovered and the box with my good, current outerwear and beanie collection was stolen. At that point in time I was riding Volcom outerwear and lost two pairs of pants, including an L GTX pant, and my L GTX jacket. The beanie collection hurt, the cel-tek gloves I had I loved and they worked great. I lost who I was, I stopped wearing Vans and stopped looking at everything relating to slaying snow. It took some years before I could look at gear the same way. I can’t afford to get any of that stuff back but what I did get back was the ability to smile about the good days I had on the hill, and-most importantly hahaha-fantasize and fawn over gear again! 😂 I was able to grab my first pair of Vans since before I was hurt last year. Mark my words: I am determined to get my f’ing gear back. One day I’ll have that stuff again. It’s just stuff, and st the end of the day I am who I am and I can’t change the past. Don’t know why I shared this much like this. Maybe someone will read this and be inspired to go get out and skate/shred snow/take the job offer/and LOCK THE MOVING TRUCK IF YOU’RE TAKING A PISS.

I have been a Vans customer for over 40 years. Great shoes now my kids wear them.

Steve was always out on Warped Tour and would make Waffles for the bands and crews backstage at a bunch of stops on the tour for almost every year I was out there. A true legend and one of the nicest humans I've ever met!

Sucks that you can feel the corporatizing tho. Like no more extra laces in the box, no more extra sticker. The mall Vans stores are getting so trendy

The little Vans shop in La Canada was the first stop for back to school shopping & ever time my feet grew as a kid.

I met Steve when Vans was sponsoring the U.S. Open in Huntington Beach. Nice guy, answered a lot of questions we had about the company. Glad to hear VF isn't pushing the corporate dictates on them ("don't mess with success"). If Steve reads this can you put in a word with the VF overlords to shift The North Face back to some of its original climbing-focused gear? Its a tragedy what's happened to that company.

I started wearing vans chukka boots around 91 or 92. I had every color. I then started wearing half cabs and so many more. Still love vans. I hope the warped tour returns someday!

Simple but comfy shoes that is reasonbly affordable. I have a soft spot for vans.

Haven’t bought Vans in a long time the identity is gone. Doesn’t feel like a real skateboarding brand anymore. At this point all I am left with is Emerica, Lakai, ES and FP footwear.

Someone tell them they ruined the slip on skates’s fit. They are unbearably tight now. Have 8.5 still in pros, and I can’t even fit in the 9.5 skate

Vans are qqay they focus on dickies and northface. Carhart is the opponent of dickies in construction I like dickies sell jean now and cargo I bought all the colors. I bet my money of dickies and if vfc what buy something buy of Levi's cause it think it be a boost. Northface need more jacket innovation for $$$.

I've wore vans since I was 5yrs old.. I'm 50 now. The Rowley was the best skate shoe best fit!

There's better shoes for skating and that have a better imagine in the community, vans might as well be nike at this point
