I haven’t tried but I have gotten my front wheel off the ground “accidentally” when taking off from a stop “spiritedly” 😂 not even curious to full on try wheelies yet, but I know it’s gonna come eventually. Love this bike man 🙌

I play around with getting the front end up on my '03 Viffer every once in a while, but I never seem to be able to even pop it up an inch. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, you make it look super easy...

M750 on my 2000 vfr800 I can get the front wheel to pop up a bit for a few seconds in first. no clutch up, just get her to about 6-7k then quick speedup stop, then crank it.. I can't seem to hold it up tho for more than like 1.5seconds lol..

I haven't tried clutching it up in second gear but the other day I cracked on the throttle pretty hard in first gear from a roll and she came right up lol

Yeah, I think the linked brake may have caused a torque big enough to move you to the left.

have my self a vfr 800... tried. only feel a stong ripü on the handlebars since the acceleration but i cant get the wheely up.. any hints would help.

I know this is an older video, but I'm wondering how you were lifting her up in 2nd? I have no problem with power wheelies on my 2005 vfr in 1st. Sounds like you did a quick clutch pop, but what rpm were you at? thanks.

+Michael Johnson It has less to do with RPM and more to do with what speed you clutch-up. And yes, these are ALL clutch-up wheelies. The slowest you can go is about 30, the fastest is about 45, that's in 2nd gear. Hold the throttle steady when you're at speed, clutch in, blip to 7 or 8k (as long as you're in VTEC you should have no issues), then dump the clutch. I'd start at about 40-45 for the first few tries to feel it out, the slower you go, the higher the wheel comes up when you dump the clutch.

Hey bud I have a question for you... when you really get on the gas do you ever have a time where you miss second gear?? My 2007 VFR800 likes to shift in all gears except upshifting to second gear.. sometimes it clicks to shift and then ends up in neutral. ? Do you ever get a second gear neutral? Thank you!!!

Never had a second gear neutral... I've had 4th and 5th gear neutrals... but NEVER 2nd. Sounds like your dogs are worn.

What's your revs at when you clutch it in 1st just went from cbr to vfr and the weight makes me nervous. And do you clutch it at the vtec switch

Honestly idk if i will ever try it on mine, if u do im sure it has to be 7000 rpm or more, so u are already in the v-Tec power range.... Can u imagine the v-tec kicking in mid wheelie???? I think i might build a stunt bike, my vfr is too nice to be fooling around with wheelies!

How is your clutch now? Did you trash it by blipping clutch ups?

Bought the bike with 4k miles, sold it with 24k miles. During the last oil change I popped the clutch cover off to check, the friction plates were dead in the middle of spec. The clutch never once slipped on me. Doing clutch-ups CORRECTLY will not pre-maturely wear your clutch out.

dude, every clutch up is INCORRECT by its nature of riding a motorcycle, you know )))))) I managed to fuck up my clutch in 10.000 miles, I did clutch ups on every fucking stop light, I know a few people who has gone through replacing clutch kit every 7000 mile )))))) In Mt09s clutch is a very weak part, now for clutch up wheelies for sure))))

From my experience (VFR800, RD400, Tiger 955i, KLR650, GS500, RT180, MT250) and over 100,000 miles ridden in my lifetime... I have never once experienced any clutch damage due to clutch-up wheelies. Most of my bikes (as you can tell) have been heavy and under-powered, and I've had to lean back, pull the bars, and dump the clutch on ALL of them to get them to wheelie in 2nd gear. The only bike I've ever ridden with a clutch issue was a borrowed 1098 I did a review on with a dry clutch that slipped over 5k rpm under normal acceleration. I'm just speaking from experience... your mileage may vary.

Action Cam Moto nope... not here. Not even any wear/indenting on the plate slides of the basket.
