Interesting video. I remember seeing the Oral-B toothbrush commercial with John Laws doing the voice over quite well.

Sad fact of reality - Higher Interest Rates back then and a lot of products, companies and people are no longer around or with us. Great fun reminiscing on the 80’s.

Interesting. But surprising to find how annoying ads were, even 30 years ago.

3:00 how good are 15% home loan rates?
@jackrussell44374 жыл бұрын
And if you were a saver, you were probably earning 8-11% on your funds. Now 1.5% if you’re lucky.

@@jackrussell4437 yes but inflation was eating your savings also. So it wasn't great either to be a saver. Bette to have debt that was being quickly eroded!

..I didn't even know that Corona Beers (might want to drop that name now...) even existed back in the late 1980's?! Snappy Tom & Amiga's?! Creative!!! Rebel I've known about and they're much more prevalent now than the 1980's but their selection is sparse compared to back then. Steve Vizard!!! Damn it I wished I wasn't 11 back then?!...Nick Scali furniture are still going after 32 years or so... Alcan guttering?! Now that guy really rings a bell now as he was all over the T.V. set. Passion CD or romance?! Not a selection of late 80's tracks from 1987 to 89. Hey Dad?!!! NOPE...Oral "B" with connotations like that now that are to obvious, no wonder they had to drop the name..P.G. Interiors?! Bad John Farnham-look alike trying to capitalise on his success and looks lolz. And then there's Dame Edna possibly the only LGBT-like TV personality was accepted back then without the stunning & brave cringe that so woke now and he/she was actually really funny as well...Thanks for the better time/era memories!....Happier times.

1989 I was most likely 11 at the time...Therapeutic watching these advertisements these days, just makes me happier for some weird reason. Maybe because they're so wholesome and pure back then.

@@PT_1380 , agreed and the coronavirus doesn't make it any better either...I'll agree with you via the media but it came have it's uses here and there and thanks to what we have?! We have youtube as well to enjoy what we have left. Political divisions will always exist and I'm no saint either regarding it either but I try to be neutral but it isn't always possible though. All you can do is take the good and the bad and keep watching stuff like this. Should we survive?! Maybe someday in the 2020's we may get back a 1980's like timeline again however there will alot to endure before we can get it though. May have to fight for it and nothing is assured anymore now thanks to what we have now. Stay safe and chill.
