I'm so glad you were able to use my swap! I got my fuse from a scrapbook warehouse for American Crafts. I believe they had a moment on HSN and it is a bundle. I'm excited to use it, now!

I made various size pockets in page protectors. I purchased a 12x12 smooth floor tile at Lowes that I used the tool on. Worked fine for me.

I don’t think we need anything special for it to be used on, but I will get thicker weight page protectors to use this with. Like some crystal clear ones, that I would like the look of better. However, the tool itself works just fine. I think back in the day it didn’t get hot enough for it to work well. Or there were issues with quality control so some people would have a good one, others had ones that didn’t work well.

@@VianneyCreates I had the whole rolling issues. Tried till I was ready to scream. Then I found using a wood clip board worked the best-got rolling rolling rolling!

Thanks for demonstrating this tool. I was working on a photo album a few months ago to give my daughter and bought this off eBay. I have yet to use it, so thanks to you I now know what to expect. 😃

I bought the fuse to make shaker pockets ( copying Anna G) and was very successful. I also use it to seal ziplock baggies. The hotter the tool the better. I use a silicone mat to cut on and it seems to help…

I am so excited to see if this tool works out. I’ve always wanted one however I’ve seen all the mixed reviews. You did an amazing job showing us all the standard ways of working with this and then adding all of your own wonderful ideas. I hope you explore this one a little further. Hi, I have this tool set and I had it for a long time. I have never used it. But, you can use the slit in the ruler to use the tool. It shows it on the back of the set. Thanks for showing this.

Yes, I did that at the beginning and it wasn’t sliding through very well. That’s why I used the edge of the ruler instead.

Thanks for showing it with so many different sample. When it first came out, I passed based on the bad reviews. Looks like it’s still the same frustrating issues. In theory, it could be awesome. Maybe someday, they’ll come out with an improved version that is better.

I too got that years ago and I playes with it for a couple hours and i felt like i looked like this when playing. I started out super frustrated then ended up liking it for what I was using it for, making page protectors pockets. I just used a blade to cut the pocket opening. Thanks for reminding me about it lol

I have this tool & have used it to make a gatefold pocket to hold pictures in a 12X12 onto a page protector. Also have made a 6X6 extender pocket for a 12X12 protector page. This requires some practice- trial & error. Haven't used it for a long time, need to get it out again. Thanks for the video!

That is a cute little shaker and pocket 😃 I got similar results. It's annoying when the wheel stops turning. I had 3 Diamond Press pockets that came apart on the edge before I used them. They're definitely too thick for the Fuse. This is a great idea tho

I saw where a tag was enclosed with plastic after "To" and "From" were stamped on the back. It has shaker stuff included in it and then you were to write on the outside of the plastic the names. You could then wipe it off and continue to reuse the tag.

I read somewhere that it won't roll if too much pressure is applied. Try a lighter touch while moving slower

It definitely serves a purpose, not for every day or for everyone. I did burn myself a couple of times which I was actually surprised about! Not great!

Thanks for testing this! I have one that I bought awhile back. I couldn't get it to work. Now I'm wondering if it was the wrong sort of plastic. I'll give it another try! Also, is the tool you have from Daiso called a bag sealer? Might as well have that too! Thanks again, for all you do!

Hi Vianney, I was watching and your hand got so close and then you said I’m not gonna touch it. I had one awhile back and made that mistake, ouch. It was to iffy for me. Plus I’m a little accident prone so I did not keep it. I thought the space on the metal ruler was where you put the fuse through. Still love to watch you try things. Thanks for sharing!

TY! I did burn myself twice!! Yes, that space in the ruler is to run the tool through, but at the beginning it was giving me trouble… I just decided not to use that area. I talked about that in the video. TY!

I hope to find a material that I’m really happy with that has the right sizing, then I will use it often, I think. I really like the way the stamp and die pockets worked with this, I may even pick up some of that we are memory keepers plastic film. However, I’m going to go and buy some thicker pocket protectors, I think that will work great, too. TY!

Open the top of the shaker and turn your little tag around and then reseal it. I have one of these… bought it many years ago. Never use it. LOL… may drag it out again .

I bought that years ago when it came out. I want to love it because it should be an awesome tool however it’s very frustrating and doesn’t work properly most of the time. When I do get stuff to seal without melting the plastic it doesn’t seem to stay sealed for long but that’s the way it seems to go with we are memory keepers stuff, they always have great ideas but poor execution.

I read a bit on it of people that bought it and says it has a bad smell , one had a bad headache and the one said had a fumée and big smell . So I want to know how did you find the smell …..

When the fuse first came out our scrapbook store had a demo and really struggled with it. I’m sure it was the first edition. I don’t think she sold a one and I’ve never seen them around much since then. The idea is sound though. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, my goodness! That poor presenter! I heard lots of negative reviews when it came out, so I never went for it. This one did ok, but even the sealed ones didn’t look perfect. That bothers me a little.

Does it work with a cheap zip lock bag to change the size of it?

I just realized in the shower this morning I did not use a Ziploc! LOL! I should’ve pulled one out, however, just a gut feeling… It will probably work a lot like the little jewelry bag I used. It’s basically the same kind of material, though the jewelry bags are a little thicker.
