Bryan is from North Vancouver, I remember him playing at our school in Vancouver at a noon hour concert. The band was Sweeney Todd, but their lead singer couldn't make it so they brought along this scrawny kid named Bryan Adams and he was awesome! That would have been the mid 70's, the same year we had Heart play our Valentine's day dance. Pretty cool times.

I used to think it was a trilogy until recently the other two songs that go with the storyline is *Somebody* and *One Night Love Affair* which "The Girl" *( Lysette Anthony)* character is not in, but it's applied by "The Boy" character *(Bryan Adams)* longs for her. Check out they intertwine with each other, who knew!!

@@EliteMiko35 It could be, depending where you live, but possibly unlikely. "Heaven" was released long before "Everything........." which featured in the film "Robin Hood Prince of Thieves" almost a decade later. Not only did "Everything..." spend 16 weeks on the UK charts at number one but it sold 15 million copies worldwide. "Heaven" although popular was not in the same monster class, peaking at 38 in the UK. A dance version was released in 2001 by DJ Sammy and Yanou, and it was that version that went to number 1 in the UK.

She was a huge solo artist in the 1980s and 1990s but you ALSO need to hear her early music from the 1960s and 1970s when she was part of the IKE & TINA TURNER REVUE. This album ("Reckless") was huge for Bryan Adams. There are six singles from this album (some charted better than others): "Summer of 69," "Run To You," "Heaven," "One Night Love Affair," "Somebody," and "It's Only Love." When 60% of your album is good enough to be on the radio, you're doing pretty well...

@@Malcontent- @Michael Asay As a Gen Xer, I'm right there with you. 80s music helped most of us get through growing up, whether we had the joy of "no worries" or the pain of a "horrible childhood". Those songs were the anthems that shaped us and carried us through. Now, as we age, too many of us have suffered the loss of people close to us. Losing our parents and family members untethers us from our foundations. My mum died unexpectedly 10 years ago. She had been adopted and taught me that family is who we choose to have in our lives. I was lucky to have her in my life for 39 years. She no longer moves around in the physical world, and I'll never again get to hug her or hear her voice speak to me in my waking hours. Still, I've never said I miss her because how do you miss a person who is part of you?..................Perspective is everything..................May the music continue to evoke memories and feelings - of joy, of nostalgia, and especially of comfort to carry you through those times when you're both reminded of the pain of grief and loss. May the fond and happy memories emerge more frequently than the ones that deliver grief and sadness.

Great song and great reaction as usual, Bryan Adams is a great singer; a dirty little secret though about this song, when he's talking about the summer of 69, in a recent interview he admitted it's exactly what it sounds like when your mind goes to the gutter. It is about his summer with that girl at the end, but not 1969. Another good song of his is *Everything I Do (I Do It For You) from the movie Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.

The only time I saw him in concert, I drove 3 hours there. And I got a speeding ticket on the way even though the semi truck drivers gave me a warning by flashing their lights. Dumb teen I was. Got to the concert late and without tickets, missed the opening act. But my luck turned for the good as some people who reserved seats didn't show. I got to buy 6th row center. The girl I went with was quite the screamer (and looker) that got the band's attention many a times. Caught a couple guitar picks and a drum stick. Didn't get home until after 2 on a school night but will never forget it.

This gentleman is from Canada and he was the first rock artist I saw in concert. I remember it well because my brother took me for my 17th birthday. I had to buy my own ticket but he took me to it. I also got to go to the big college party after it. That was the night I was introduced to a mix drink called a gimlet. It came out in the early 80s.

This song is about that summer that EVERYONE has experienced. THATS THE POINT He’s MAKING. All of the many firsts we all experienced during “that” summer; -Having that first crush. -Felt what falling in love felt like for the first time. -Experienced the type of nerves only possible when around that first “love/crush”. -The responsibilities inherent with growing up were still off in the distance, and for a kid, there was still safety in that, as an entire summer was forever. -Even the most implausible dreams (starting a band) were there for the taking, right at your fingertips. -ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING was POSSIBLE, for those were the BEST DAYS OF OUR LIVES……….

Reactionaries, who have already made more than 7 thousand reactions (check my playlist) call her the queen of goosebumps! I invite you to discover this wonderful talented young singer. Please make reaction to Diana Ankudinova - (rarest contralto with polyphonic overtones) I was stunned to find that the first performance (Show "You are Super") I heard was when she was 14!!!! She's now 18 and still developing. She sings in Russian, French, English, Spain and Arabic. The covers she performed on that show are very popular on KZfaq. Many KZfaqrs publish reactions on these performances, which include "Wicked Game", "Human", "Derniere Danse", "It's a Man's Man's Man's World", "Take On Me" and others. Please react to one of Diana's songs and I promise she will surprise you.
