Really nice, clear explanation, especially concerning the setup and setting of the left arm... And as a Rrrrromanian, the rolling of the rrrrr in the word vibrrrato gives me all sorts of home feelings!

I’ve been searching for a video to help me better understand my left hand position. Especially as it relates to my setup and vibrato. Thank you. I think this is going to be a help. This is the best video I’ve seen so far and I’ve looked at a lot.

Really good to finally see a video on what not to do in a Vibrato :) because all videos focus on how to do it, but won't focus on mistakes which are likely to happen when you try to Learn something off the internet. Thank you really helped!

Excellent tips! this is the true key to a relaxed and natural vibrato! Literally better than any of the videos and even masterclasses on vibrato out there! thanks a lot!

Thank you! Very helpful - although playing on the G in 1st position is still difficult no matter how hard I try to find a natural hold.

Thank you for this, I have had a lot of problems with the violin falling off the the shoulder. Have just purchased a new chin and shoulder rest so hopefully it will work for me.

Eyal- thank-you. That last point hit home; I try to position my thumb under the neck to get my index finger to "detatch"- such a subtle movement, but very difficult. Would you say that you are just moving the index finger away from the neck or is the entire hand shifting to move that index finger away?

@@Kless101 sorry I meant chinrest not shoulder rest

it's very weird to see you hold and play your violin with shoulder rest because your violin is really tilted up and every time you loosened your left hand from the violin neck i fear you dropping your violin xD
