A small grommet could be added to make the bottle slip in easier! The captured air would release! Great job!

I would do my first drawing of the bottom circle then make a template by it. That way I will have it ready when I make another cozy. Love this pattern! Cutting the notches in the fabric is a huge help! Thank you so much for sharing!

A mayonnaise jar lid or peanut butter jar works better and allows for the wiggle room. But if you use 20 oz water bottles your can customize the cozy to the bottles you frequently buy

Love your project. You explain in great detail. You could find the size of the circle by taking the length of the fabric ( say 10 in divided by PI 3.142) this will give you the total size of the circle needed which is 3 1/4. This is without the seam allowance. Thanks again for sharing your talent.

Thank you for this tutorial. For the bottom, instead of attaching a separate circular piece, have you tried boxing the corners of the main fabric? The bottom would then be a square, which would be easier to sew.
