I had great fun digging out my HUGE 13,200 piece Disney Orchestra puzzle by Clementoni for this video, and putting it alongside the 1000 piece panorama version of the same puzzle, also by Clementoni 😃.
Watch as I build the big jig’s little sibling and look in detail at some of the differences, as well as the similarities! Watch until the very end for a bonus puzzle pick up too - a brave move for a Clementoni I think! 😍
I tested out a new way of filming the sorting element of the puzzle build for this one. Please let me know what you think about that. Also, below is a list of time stamps for this video as there are a few extra elements to this one 😃
Chapters

So interesting to see the two puzzles compared. I feel like there is different excitement for doing a large puzzle, where the gratification comes slowly and then a smaller puzzle where it feels rewarding quicker. Both look great. It’s such a lovely puzzle! I’m glad you did both! 🌺🌺🌺

Hiya! It was fun doing this video. I enjoyed both builds, but I agree with you - there is definitely a huge sense of gratification with the larger puzzle, and it’s more gradual. The small one was fun in its own right though. I’m so glad you like the video - thank you, as always, for watching 😍 x

Hiya, I know right? It looked teeny next to the huge one 😃. I’m glad I could get another video out before actually moving. I have done no puzzling this week, but the table will be back in action again soon definitely 😍. Yes, it’s been a bit of an upheaval moving twice, but we should be here for a while now so we can settle down properly 😊. Thanks - the red walls in the lounge were already there when we came. I have painted over a few of the other room’s colours, but I actually quite liked the lounge so I just kept it. I would love to mount the big Disney puzzle in there too 😁. Thank you so much for watching!

I love your channel! I found you because of the Disney Orchestra puzzle. I love it so much that I’ve been scouring eBay for almost a year to get this puzzle. It is not available in North America. I finally found one for a reasonable price and it’s on its way to my house from the UK!! I’m looking forward to seeing more of the Dragon puzzle and the Wild Life puzzle! Keep it up!

Got the huge one for Christmas, and started on the first bag at around new year’s. Finished the bag earlier today! Those curtains were tough! Thank you - I’m glad you liked it 😃. I enjoyed getting the big puzzle out again, it gives me good memories 😍. I love the larger puzzles, so I would definitely recommend them, but the 2k and 3k ones are a good way to build up - also the 13,200 piece Clementoni puzzles are in 2200 piece sections - it doesn’t seem quite so mammoth a task when you do it in the sections. Thank you so much for watching 😊

It was interesting to see the visual comparisons of the two puzzles and also hear about the build comparisons. It appears that there is another member of this Clementoni family, a fraternal twin to the 1000 piece. It's another 1000 piece panorama - part of double pack #98128. It includes the stage lights and one piece of sheet music but has none of the little critters. Also, instead of the audience in the stalls, it has a lot more of the *red curtains* !
@Vickymakesandbuilds
@Vickymakesandbuilds 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks 😃. Since reading your comments I have purchased two more puzzles! Firstly I bought the double pack - I was intrigued when you said there was a third. I figured I had better have the third one since I already have the other two - also the second one in the pack is lovely as well 😍. The other puzzle I bought was one I discovered on the 6000 or more pieces Blogspot. I had been wanting the 1k Piatnik playing cards puzzle for a while, and when I spotted on that site that there was a 6k version of it, I got that one instead. Thanks again for watching and for the info. 😍

Somehow it just sounds crazy how every single piece in the smaller puzzle is basically a section of thirteen pieces in that bigger one. So if head of Mickey in the smaller one has 10 pieces, that's like 150 pieces in the bigger version. By the way, did you ever find out that the "Mini Mickeys" are Morty and Ferdie, Mickey's nephews? I have no idea which one is which. Your cat looks pretty much exactly as my older cat, so when I mentioned in another video comments that I can see my cat eating my pieces, I really didn't mean it this literally... But I can understand the thinking of the cat. Like "Who notices if out of that many pieces you miss a few?" At 11:38 or so I can see a huge pile of puzzle dust. Is that a common issue with Clementoni? I know that Ravensburger has that issue. And yeah, I know some tricks to avoid that and some people it might not bother at all.
@Vickymakesandbuilds
@Vickymakesandbuilds 11 ай бұрын
I know! This was the first giant puzzle I did, and it completely stumped me at first just how many pieces made up what look like smaller details in a giant puzzle 😍 I have more experience with that now, so it doesn’t bamboozle me as much, but it is interesting to compare a smaller image with a bigger and just marvel at the sheer size difference! Oh yes, the cat is just in it for the entertainment and/or the comfort value. sometimes mine goes for the pieces, other times he just wants to sit on them! 😆 So Clementoni doesn’t have anywhere near the puzzle dust issues that Ravensburger has - I would say their puzzle dust accumulation is average, but with this being such a large puzzle, I guess you do get a lot. I also know a few people who hate the puzzle dust, but it has never bothered me so I just get on with it and tidy up the dust as I go.

Would you say taping the big puzzle in sections is a good idea for big puzzles in general? Not just your big puzzle but another big puzzle taped together on another channel when put back together you can clearly see the taped sections when all are put together. Does anyone know of any other ways of keeping a big puzzle together apart from taping the back?
@Vickymakesandbuilds
@Vickymakesandbuilds Жыл бұрын
I’m not sure what the best way would be outside of taping, unless it was kept stored on stacked boards. There is glue, but then it would need to be mounted somewhere, which is fine if that’s the end goal. I do agree though, I think you have to be careful with taping in sections - because pieces can move about a little, I discovered this with the Disney Orchestra (which is the first one I ever taped.) Whenever I tape now, I always push the section together towards the middle on every section (without crumpling it of course.) That way I am more likely to get an equally sized section, that doesn’t become misaligned with an adjacent one because the pieces have ‘wriggled.’

Hi Vicky. I have both the 24,000 & 3,000 piece versions of the Educa "LIFE" puzzle. I haven't done the 24,000 one yet, but I used the poster from it as a guide when I did the 3,000pc version. There is a little difference between the 2. There are some trees and birds that are not in the same positions in the middle of the puzzles.
@Vickymakesandbuilds

Ah right, that’s interesting how they aren’t simply smaller versions of the larger one. Also, I wonder if they bring both out at the same time or if the larger or the smaller comes first. 😊 Thank you for watching 😍

@@Vickymakesandbuilds I bought a Heye 1000pc puzzle called "EGYPT". After I bought it, I came across a 4000pc one called "EGYPTIAN PARTY". The smaller one is just a middle slice of the image of the larger one. The images are the same size as both puzzles are 40 pieces tall. The 4000pc puzzle is 40 tall by 100 wide (horizontal image) as the 1000pc is 40 tall by 25 wide (vertical image). Heye made a couple puzzles like this. Thanks for your reply Vicky. Keep puzzling!

No, you are not crazy! You will not regret it I promise! 😃 The curtains are a bit of a slog, but it’s only on sections A and C that they are like that. Also how long did it take to complete the 1000 piece puzzle vs the 13200 I need puzzle stamps (food stamps for puzzle necessities) to indulge in my cravings lmao. I just completed cats in the kitchen puzzle 1000 pieces in a day I need a challenge but ya these bigger puzzles are quite expensive :/

Well, a lot depends on where in the world you are. Large Clementoni puzzles here in the UK are among the most reasonably priced giant puzzles that I have seen! You can get hold of the Disney Orchestra for just £45 over here now! Now Ravensburgers and Educas, on the other hand, are a whole different ball game! Trefl also do some large piece count puzzles now and their prices tend to be really reasonable! I honestly can’t remember how long the 1k version took me, but it was quick. Believe it or not, the giant version really made me so familiar with the image that the small version flew together. I know what you mean about a challenge. You could try some speed puzzling? Or maybe a Krypt puzzle - they are smaller, but definitely a challenge! Depends if you can stand doing a solid colour image though 😃
