Today, we’re watching the cringiest police body camera video on the internet. A woman, who was pulled over for drunk driving, rattles off a list of oppressions she faces that excuses her from the traffic stop, including being non-binary, indigenous, and socially anxious. While this video is a funny watch, it sadly encapsulates the woke left’s perpetual victim mentality.

She really had the hubris to not only ignore what she did wrong by making a plethora of excuses, in this case driving drunk, but actually believed she could talk her way out of responsibility. Like Cooper said, when I was first pulled over , I was pretty anxious, but only because it was my first time, and I wanted it to go as amicably as possible. Interrupting the police officers' duty with nonsense and personal facts instead of acknowledging that it's your turn to stop talking and do what is asked of you is incredibly immature and a lot of what's wrong with people today. Horrendous display from a supposed adult.

Anyone else care to point out that playing the indigenous card while driving drunk is a huge loss for stereotypes surrounding the indigenous community ? Absolute disgrace .
@aleskairean
@aleskairean 6 ай бұрын
As an Alaska Native woman, her drunk driving HAS to be punished in favor of indigenous people. We have a horrible alcoholism epidemic that has caused the stereotype that we're always drunk. So if she wants to endanger people and enable our negative stereotypes, she deserves to be punished. We have to set a better example for the next generation of Indigenous children, especially if we want to heal the generational trauma she mentioned.

i have diagnosed social anxiety disorder. it never ceases to amaze me when people try to claim social anxiety as a way to get out of being disrespectful to people. my social anxiety makes my people-pleasing, southern manners side come out so much that i will literally be TOO respectful to people in positions of authority over me - i’ve had multiple people comment on my being overly formal and polite - to the point i won’t stand up for myself even when i know i should. i understand that oftentimes the same disorder can look pretty different in different people, but how someone who is acting like this can claim social anxiety is beyond me.

My social anxiety makes me avoid interacting with people most of the time except a few very close individuals. When I go out I'm told i'm a super friendly, cooperative and well spoken person, the entire time i'm vibrating internally over how fucking terrifying it is to speak to someone I don't know. I cannot wait to get home, close the door and forget about how I had to interact with people. It hasn't gotten easier at all, and medication made it worse so I just do my best to force my way through it when I can and not get upset over something meaningless as a stranger and what they say/think about me.

Responsibility and accountability are the way to go in any situation like this. Many years ago, I pulled myself over behind a police cruiser because I was too intoxicated to drive and blatantly told the officers that, which they did not disagree. I knew I was a danger to myself and others and accepted I could be in serious trouble, that they told me that they respected what I did and for that they only towed my car and would have allowed me to go home, but nobody picked up a phone, so instead kept me in protective custody until the morning. When you screw up with anything, just own up to it.

I’m a case manager at a nonprofit that helps find housing for homeless people. Mental illness is something I deal with everyday. I go into every case with the question *What CAN the client handle?* I meet them where they at and always treat them with respect, but I expect them to handle themselves with as much dignity *as they are able.* And they love me for it. Our schizophrenic clients actually request my help even when I’m not their assigned worker. This woman probably does have a mental illness, but that does not mean she is free from consequences! Acknowledging that your mental illness affects you is VERY different than using it as a crutch, which is exactly what she did.
