I review and compare both 3U and 4U versions of the Victor Auraspeed 90K ii badminton racket which is designed to replace the original version of Auraspeed 90K. The Auraspeed 90K is used by Anders Antonsen.
Victor also incorporated its Free Core handle and technology into this new version of Auraspeed 90K.

Hey CK. Great job with the knowledge sharing for our badminton freaks! Help me out please . I'm looking for a similar racket to lining wood n90 ii lindane as that's what I use for my play. I'm a doubles and mixed doubles player who's lost in the world of rackets can't pick the right racket. Love to get a victor which will feel the same as what I use now. Hopefully bit more repulsion. Thanks bro

Great and very detailed, in-depth review once again by CK. I would like see review of badminton racquet from brands like APACS, Carlton, Ashaway, etc. As these brands make it very confusing to understand what is there mid range or high end racquet, as well as whether it is a attack/control/speed racquet. APACS is very good at this as website doesn't give and product description at all to their racquets.

I felt differently about the 90K1 vs 90K2 as you do... I have tried the 90K1 in the past but wasn't that impressed by it; the swing balance and speed made the handling less snappy than my trusted 1st Gen Jetspeed S10. With the 90K2, it was a lot more fun to play with; defense was very snappy and stable without sacrificing power on smashes. Within the first game with the 90K2, the superior feeling of the racket instilled a lot of confidence in my counter-attacks and rather creative shot selections. My friends were caught somewhat off-guard and remarked "the racket is making you do some wild things here!". Perhaps the difference in techniques between us might have played a role in our opinions on the 90K1 vs 90K2 because I much prefer the 90K2 to the original. In the end, I definitely agree that the 90K2 is much more user friendly than the 90K1. But I still haven't found a racket that is as dominant as the 1st Gen Jetspeed S10 for me.

@@CKYew I am rather fond of the Astrox 100ZZ and now the Nanoflare 1000Z... but one thing that keeps me reaching back for Victor rackets from my bag is the swing speed. Regardless of how the rackets feel (balanced like the 90KII or slightly head heavy like the Thruster F), they always cuts through the air so effortlessly. They might not feel as stable as more robust rackets from Yonex... but if you can manage being wrist-y... it's so fun playing with Victor rackets

@@TheOneDumDumcan you compare your NF1000 to the Ars90kii ?
@TheOneDumDum
@TheOneDumDum 7 ай бұрын
@@izzanzakaria9287 NF1000: balanced feel, stable, fast swing, store a lot of power on a smash, solid snap on defense AS90Kii: slightly head light, faster swing/snap but less power stored in the shuttle, very quick on defense but not as stable (a little wild at times) The main difference for me between these 2 rackets would be ease of use. The NF1000 is by far the best and most difficult racket I have ever played with. The 90Kii has a faster swing speed but less strength in the shot. However, even on days that you're not playing your best, the 90K remain controllable and easy to use. The NF1000 is far more unforgiving... When you're in your groove, the NF1000 will boost your confidence like no racket have done before. It swing fast, carry a lot of weight behind the shot, yet stable and easy to maneuver around the court. I've had 2 sessions last week where I was playing while being tired physically and mentally... the NF1000 just refused to offer any help. Whatever shots that i did not put in the center of the string bed went straight into the net, any backhand that I did not get early enough would go half court. Seeing things not going too well, i switched out to my Jetspeed10 and Auraspeed90Kii to try and change up the funk. Right off the bat I was able to produce better shots and much more consistent output even if my timing wasn't perfect on certain shots. I definitely noticed a lessen impact on my smashes and solid feel on defense. But my bad shots were still going roughly where i intended. And on defense i didn't feel the lacking like with the NF1000, i was still able to counter attack and drive the shuttle back. I was able to play back to form with the AS90Kii until i felt confident enough in my performance to go back to the NF1000. Only then did it allow me to use it to its full potential. I've talked to several of my friends who felt similar with the NF1000 being temperamental. As non-professional competitive players, the performance that they can get out of the NF1000 can be inconsistent at times. With that being said, for my personal style and preference... The NF1000 could be finicky and difficult to tame at times, and the 90Kii sometimes lack that punch from the back even if it's a beast at the front court. The jetspeed10, however, is still a perfect all rounder for me. Easy to use, balanced feel, doesn't lack power from the back nor the speed and snap required on defense or at the net.

I got 3 90k ii and all in 4U, 2 from taiwan and 1 from canada. The ones bought in Taiwan are made in Taiwan and the Canada version is made in China. The overall paint quality is a lot better on the tw version, and the frames are more stable when hitting. Just like how the original tw version 90K was way more lethal than the cn version. The problem with Victor right now is their factory in taiwan is too small to manufacture all the models, so they decided to only make a few models (TK tty, TK F, Drivex 9, 10, Auraspeed 100x, Jetspeed T1 pro, etc) in Taiwan and leave the rest to the factory in China. Usually I'd avoid the first 1-2 batches from the cn factory, they tend to have poor paint jobs, fragile frames, and handle quality issues. The most recent batches of the 90k ii from china are better now, so keep in mind, avoid the early batches at all cost.

Nice review, interesting to see that the 90kii went to even a balance route vs the original. Probably because of the lighter plastic handle. The 3u seems to still be on the head lighter side as well. I'm guessing the Ars Hang and LJH are more like 90k1 successors due to be stiffer but also the hang is slightly headlight and both have the much larger frame grooves @ 12 3 and 9 positions. Just curious about the 679mm measurement, are these taken before or after stringing because I measured an unstrung 90kii x4 after watching this review but they all are within 675 +-1mm.

i really do love this racket thou . change from arc11pro > 100x > 900maxsun > 90kii (all 4u) . aside from 'made in china' (which seem having a lot of problem right now; easy broke , and noises) , i got no complain about this racket.

@@uhohpickless9106 yea i was hoping mine to be head light too, but it feels like an even balanced. so far its good though, but then again, maybe we really are coping so we could like it 😂

100x is lighter, slimmer, and faster. 90kii is like a beefier 100x; it’s thicker, heavier, and more powerful, but still relatively quick.

Victor has the most confusing line of all the manufacturers. Normal buyer don't know what's the difference between 90K, 90K 2, 90K H, 90S, 90F M... Perhaps you could make a video of what all of these letters mean in their lineup?

They sure don't show it on their advertisement. I will be only buying racket from their respective country. My experience with Victor is mixed. The matte finish of the TKFC is of very poor quality, I am very disappointed since it's a flagship racket.
