1:09:05 the most interesting thing about this entire saga is that when PV gets the yellow card, the crowd is muted. But when Marin gets it, the crowd cheers and applauds loudly. Keep in mind, this is the Denmark Open where you'd expect the crowd to support the European player (Marin), yet they were happy when Marin got the card. Just shows how unpopular she is even in Europe and what the fans think about her sportsmanship qualities.

But celebration with a repeated shouts for every winner after a rally is uncalled for… but it can demoralizes immensely the opponent that lost that rally making players play with vengeance. Maria has gained more than a point every times she has a winner at the cost of her opponent. Imagine shouts by every player after every single winner. Then that isn’t Good’minton spirit it’s really BAD’minton.

At 1:08:50 Sindhu lost the point, the shuttle was on her court, clearly she was the better person to pick it up. Marin shouldn't have reached her racket to the opponent site - that was too aggressive and rude. Obviously Marin received another warning for the same behavior at 1:11:40

Interesting. Very often I saw players not picking up the shuttle even he/she was at the net while the opponent is at the back court. I myself usually will pick up the shuttle. I better stop doing that from now on

exactly idky someone was dragging axelsen here. he always does some ‘controversial’ things on court like smashing his own racquet, but thats only cos hes mad at himself. he never delays the game and always shows respect to his opponents. only ppl comparable to marin is sukamuljo or antonsen (maybe those two combined)

Finally someone stood up to Marin. Those umpires are totally useless - it looks like their only responsibility is to change points and you could have a junior doing that. Marin does this in every game... interrupts serving, gets the shuttle from opponnents half, shouting. This time she was even shouting before her own serv. Unfortunately it worked.

@@Acostaa_.03 She got it for getting into that exchange with rackets. Umpires are usually warning Maring for time wasting and don't give her the card. Marin really has one that mental battle cause she made her do it. Imagine now everybody is doing this or you are acting like that playing with friends. People wouldn't want to play with me if I was acting like that and I played other games where you can disrupt oponnent with fauls for example (in footbal or basketball)

It was rather an anticlimactic and disappointing third game. For some inexplicable reason, Pusarla seemed to have abandoned the tactic that won her the second game. That spat over the shuttle with Marin certainly didn't help her mentally to play any better to catch up either. What a shame for her, indeed.

At 9-2, Marin bent down to collect the shuttle, something that is common, normal, Viktor does it all the time, especially when he is trying to keep an opponent from delaying the game (as PV was doing here). PV literally dived in with her racket to prevent Marin from picking up the shuttle, disgraceful behaviour. The umpire was awful too, Marin did nothing wrong here. However, at the end of the day, PV loses to Marin yet again, this time she allowed herself to get upset by it. Marin, GOAT, destroyer of Asians for a decade.

is that a BFRT band on PV sindhu's left arm. why is she using that for such a long duration of the match. prolonged use can lead to DVT and rhabdomyolysis. I hope the coaching team realizes that soon. short duration might be ok during training but long duration especially throughout the match where the exertion level is high is quite risky, because it has not been studied thoroughly in that aspect yet.

Bad sportsperson spirit …. Marin for shouting for celebrating every winner that can immensely demoralize the loosing opponent. 2nd, for Marin’s attempting to grab birdie when it was on Sindhu’s court. 3rd, Marin’s argument for no reason. 4th Her body language and display of sarcasm. Sindhu could have simply approached the judge instead of becoming part of the argument.

The 2nd part was silly on Sindhu. After all Marin won that point & does not matter who took the bird, really. It was an accumulation of irritation that triggered Sindhu as evident when she brought it up earlier.

When ASY approached Marin at her kit box, there were some back and fort between them, there were no sound, so nobody knew exactly what they were talking about. But Marin didn't seem to be happy.
