I'm by no means a basketball expert or smth, but checking this one stat called Block percentage%, Wemby is at around 9.5% of shots attempted on him blocked. Now obviously this is going to change as his career progresses, but even as a rookie, that means he blocks about the same percentage as guys like Manute Bol, Serge Ibaka, Mark Eaton, and he's far surpassing the best block% seasons of people like David Robinson, Hakeem Olajuwon, and so on. It's just one stat but it's insane tho

I saw a video where he twisted his foot and the announcers covering the game saw that too. they replay it in slo-mo and indeed Wemby twisted his ankle but no effect at all. he just stood up and continue to play. what an athlete. complete package. he was born just to play basketball.

We may be looking at the greatest player in the history of the NBA. Only time will tell if he's a goat or a shooting star. All I can say is good health to you and keep the winning attitude, for sure your greatness will never be duplicated. Your a once in a thousand years player. Now show the world how good you can get. Well remembered. Sengün has winded up on the wrong side of a poster so many times this season it's hard to remember them all. But yeah Wemby certainly put him on one too yeah one where Sengün's flopping out loud while getting dunked on by Wemby.

225 cm, arms span 245cm! Very hard to play vs that, plus he's very mobile for his height. Anyway, I am waiting for a 3 meter guy to appear and break the league.

A 7.6ft player dunking is all that spectacular especially when the average player ranges from 6.3ft- 6.9ft. He could dunk without jumping.

He takes off so far from the basket that's virtually impossible to get position and get set in time for a block.

He has a standing reach of 10 feet the same as the height of the ring. When he goes for a dunk it's equivalent of a 6'6 guard with a 46" vert except the 6'6 guard needs a split second to reach the top while Wemby is already there. The difference in timing is enough for defenders to know it'll be too late if they try to block him. You need to jump ahead of time which is difficult to do.
