I am so excited to be sharing this video today using ALMOST all Victoria Beckham Beauty + a few Chantecaille items. I will be playing with the NEW Cell Rejuvenating Priming Moisturizer AND also using a new shade in the Chantecaille Future Skin foundation. This makes a beautiful combo until VB comes out with her own foundation. I hope you enjoy this video and review.
FOR REFERENCE- My skin type is mature, dry, rosacea-prone. I am 51 years old and my issues are hyperpigmentation, keeping rosacea at bay, and general anti-aging.

Oh my gosh! You can do no wrong, your looks are spot on! I haven't picked up any Victoria Beckham makeup yet, reviews on the palette are a little mixed, but the lid lustre you used is beautiful. I have to be very careful on what I put on my face lately it's become breakout prone as I get older 😣

I really like this “primer” I’m glad you like it. I don’t have dry skin so this is all I use as primer/moisturizer. Bitten is my least favorite but I’ll give it another shot, it looks good on you!

Hi Abby - the Victoria Beckham products look gorgeous! Question for you about the Chantecaille Future skin. I have the shade Alabaster and was looking at getting another one with a slightly cooler tone. My skin looks similar to yours in color, and the vanilla looks great on you. I was considering the Ivory color as well, and wondered how you settled on Vanilla. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Terri- this is the TRICKY Part! Will you let me know what you think of Ivory? I found that Vanilla was a bit TOO peachy. I love the tone of Alabaster but it is a hair to light. Ivory might be the TICKET!!!

Hi Abby! Another great glowy look! I knew you’d love the VB primer! I wrote directly to Augustinus Bader to ask about when to layer it- they wrote back that they recommend to use before your spf so that the ‘secret sauce’ can work on your skin- but if you just want to enjoy the priming effects- go ahead and use it after your spf. I have used it both ways. I’m going to try and use a pump before my spf and a pump after ;) I love her bronze in my waterline. I’ve resisted the eyeshadows (I could open a neutral eyeshadow store😱) but I’m beginning to weaken. I’m curious to see the Chantecaille mix. So far I prefer the alabaster. The tone seems to be better. On camera it looks slightly light when you apply but when your makeup is complete I think it looks great. ❤️❤️❤️

Marjoirie- THANK YOU! I was trying to figure out what would be best as far as layering the PRIMER. I am LOVING IT! So I don't like the tone of the Vanilla even mixed it is too peachy. THUS, I think the tone of ALABASTER is the way to go and then maybe add a pump of bronzer or just bronze up the skin afterward. I think that is the downside to the foundation-- finding the right shade but ALABASTER is more neutral and more brightening. NOW- you know I am curious about the AB cream after loving this primer.... Abby -The alabaster is more brightening for sure. I made the same decision with La Mer- the shade 150 is a tad light but it’s so brightening and flattering that I decided to stay with it and just use bronzers if needed. I’m curious about the cream as well. I’ve had it in my cart so many times. I will never give up my retinoids and I thought it was a little redundant.

@@barnes166 I am thinking 150 might be the right shade for me as well in La Mer. It is SO HARD- because if I go too light it can wash me out and if go do peach/dark- that is a horrible look too. LOL! It it is a tad too light but the right TONE it works to brighten up the skin! I swear the Chantecaille guy in NYC said he put me in PORCELAIN and I was like really... so when I decided to purchase in PDX- she matched me to Alabaster. Ahh... you see how crazy my mind goes with finding the perfect match. LOL!

Hi Abby and many thanks! The look is stunning on you, elegant and so chic, I love it. I was waiting for your review on this primer, I trust you so much. I have the morning aura she made with Estée Lauder and still use it, very occasionally as I love it so much that I don’t want to finish it. I wonder if is similar enough, anyway I will buy it. I think this primer could substitute my magic cream from Charlotte Tilbury, I know, people have mix feelings about it but for me it is amazing before foundation and that texture for my skin is great. The collection is so beautiful, I want to buy the eyeliners and the bitten lip too. Thanks for all your time and honest reviews 😘😘

So I missed out on the Estee lauder Morning Aura and have wanted it FOREVER- so when this launched- I hesitated because I have tried the AB Rich Cream and it did not work for me but this feels DIFFERENT - more hydrating and plumping! I have not had any issues so far.... but I will keep you posted. xoxo

I have really dry skin. I’m thinking of purchasing this primer. I love the Vanilla on you! I think it is a better match than the Alabaster. Perfection on your skin. But, I’m sure mixing the 2 will look good too. You’re skin looks awesome. I was in a boutique that carries Chantecaille, & the SA said that Vanilla is my shade. She wouldn’t give me a sample, but she put it on, (way too light!). Then she put bronzer all over. I love the feel of the foundation on my dry skin, but will go to Nordstrom, to try another shade, & hopefully get a sample! I’m thinking Cream would match me better. Lol I don’t always want to have to put bronzer all over my face to get a foundation to work for me. Love the lid luster on you!

Janice- I am surprised she did not give you a sample but YES- it feels so amazing on the skin. I think it is a dry skin girl's dream foundation. SO HYDRATING AND COMFORTING. The hunt to find the perfect shade seems to be part of the game with this foundation. The good news is that because it is so sheer you can kind of get away with a few different shades so I would look for the undertone you like better. Keep me posted!!! xoxo

Hi Abby I have not got the VB primer yet but it’s on my list. It certainly looks very nice on your skin. I am loving the Future skin foundation still in Alabaster. I did test the Vanilla shade but it seemed too dark for me. There is a lot of scope in shades I think due to the finish.

Amanda Crozier yes- I think Alabaster is the best! Vanilla was too peachy and even if alabaster is a smidge light- I love the tone of it! It really helps brighten up the skin!

I am glad you are liking this over the cream we both tried, Victoria Beckham made it work for you! And your eyes looked amazing!!! Wow! Oh, so I found a new foundation that is pretty "wow" material, however such a limited shade range-It's from the Valmont skincare; L'elixir Des Glaciers Teint Majestueux-It's a pricey one too, so you need the exact shade that looks like it was made for you-I found a spa that sells Valmont here, and found out Saks just started, yet not sure they have the foundation there-I tried shade Ivory but too yellow for me-They were getting the other shades today so I'll go back to see if Natural Sand works-But it's so silky feeling, those who match the shades are lucky b/c it is a true luxury foundation-The girl gave me a sample of the Hydra3 Regenetic Cream to try, being I like a hydrating/heavy type cream but so many give milia b/c it's too heavy-She said it's more gel like but intense hydration...I'll see about that being the high tomorrow might get to 28*-

I love you! I have been curious about that $$$ foundation but have not found any place local to buy it so was feeling like a dodged a bullet. The Valmont creams are amazing but the rose scent sort of irritates my skin even though it is 'supposed' to be natural : ) YOU must keep me posted on your thoughts and let me know what you think of the foundation. I am all game if it has skincare benefits! And yes, this primer is actually so hydrating and soothing to my skin. I don't think it contains the 'retinol' so i think that is why my skin is liking it. @@AbbyBlissWhite Saks has it...but the color range is atrocious-It's truly aimed at Asian or Arabic skin tones-Sad for it applies like a dream, however there are no neutral or rosey shades-I tried Ivory on which was a tad too yellow for me, then yesterday found Natural Sand and tried it on and it looked bad, so bad the SA said "you look bad now" I will try on Ivory again to see how it looks throughout the day for I couldn't tell that well before-I think they need to create 3 more shades for it to work for most-

Abby this look is 100% you. Understated elegance with a little chameleon shine is just super pretty. Is the lip tint hydrating on it’s own? Do you have any other lip pencils? I’m dying over this. Thank you Michelle! The lip tint is more of a stain and I don't find it drying.but not necessarily moisturizing like a gloss. I laughed when I got the email from VB and it was only FREE SHIPPING which I think we get anyways- with a certain dollar amount. I do like these Lip Liners! I also have Chanel Lipliners and Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheats that I love. I hope this helps. xoxo

I recently purchased this. Do you put your normal Moisturizer and spf on before this? Or use this in PLACE of Moisturizer since it's a Moisturizer primer and then your spf? That's what I'm confused about because I DO want to get those great skin properties out of this product but afraid it won't sink into the skin if I put my normal Moisturizer on first. Maya- I would say that the PIGM 400 is more glowy but not necessarily in a good way. LOL! You definitely have to cut it with the Vernix if wearing it during the day. I have to play around with this a bit more to really figure out the best way to use it. SO far I do really like it. LOL!!

I purchased the Augustinus Bader Rich Cream and was curious regarding your issues with the product before I started using it. What do you use as a night cream in its place?

Melinda- when I first started my channel- I did a two-week challenge using just the Augustinus Bader Rich Cream without any other products to get the full benefits and unfortunately- my skin felt very dehydrated and I got a rosacea outbreak- so of course, this could have been hormonal and not the cream but each day my skin felt more and more irritated. My skin is sensitive to retinol so I think it might have been overkill using just that morning and night for my 'moody' skin. So I use Biologique Recherche Creme Masque Vernix as my night cream or Dr. Barbara Sturm Face Cream Rich. For my skin type- I need to make sure to keep my skin barrier intact and not over do it with acids and retinols. I can tolerate them in small doses. I hope this helps. I have heard WONDERFUL things about the cream and so many love it. My skin is just fussy. LOL xoxo

Wow the foundation colors are just so hard to get right but as always your skin looks so radiant and let me tell you just as good as VB's skin. If you can get a sample of the Aura try it. It has a little pinker tone then the Vanilla. I was in Barney's this weekend and they actually said this foundation is making people crazy...so hard to get the right color match. I ended up getting the coral blush which I love and wanted the turtle but they were all out. They are so silky. The giraffe eye shadow was gone in both Saks and Barneys so will wait till they restock. You might want to try the Bahder light cream instead of the Rich. The rich one made my face itch, but the sample of the cream didn't. Also found a new favorite Sillage color because of you..the Baroness. Even my husband liked it on me...lol

Jill- I can see why this foundation is driving people nuts because if you find a good color it is FANTASTIC but finding the right shade match is TOUGH. I had already ordered Vanilla when you told me about AURA - so I will try that now. LOL! ANd you are the second person to tell me that the RICH cream did not work either but that I should try the regular AB cream. INTERESTING!!! AND yay- I love Baroness! So pretty!!!

So I rewatched your video and I was wondering if the VB primer made your face red which affected the color of the foundation. That was part of my problem with the rich cream from Bader. It made me look flushed and itched. Curious to know what reaction your skin had to the Bader Rich cream.

@@jillpappas9304 so that was the same problem that I had with the AB RICH CREAM. The primer did not feel irritating on my skin and actually felt super hydrating and calming BUT I think I need to wear this UNDER my SPF. I am going to try that today. The VANILLA is actually quite peachy and I prefer the more neutral tone of the Alabaster with a pump of Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi in it, to be honest. IF I wear too peachy of shades it pulls the red out in my skin. I will keep you posted on the VB PRIMER and will do another video wearing it UNDER my SPF so we can see it. xoxo

You have to use all of your skincare products prior to putting on sunscreen. Sunscreen will block absorption of your skincare products.

My first thought was ...WOW! You are gorgeous without a stitch of makeup. But then again, I always think that because IT’S TRUE.🥰 You created a beautiful look. I love the VB Mink Lid Luster and Bitten Lip Tint. It’s such a sophisticated look. My sebaceous glands go a little crazy, so I can’t ever go for “dewy.” I really wish I could, but I have to start off matte and hope I end up somewhere in the middle. Thanks for all the tips. After watching you use the Chantecaille Camouflage Stylo, I’m so much better with my application. It’s brightening without being obvious. Abby, do you have issues with getting Chantecaille Future Skin off of your brushes? I’m struggling with that. I use the Sigma liquid brush cleanser. Perhaps I’m doing something wrong. For now, I’m using inexpensive, disposable wedges instead of my brushes. 😘xoxo

Tammy- first you are WAY to NICE to me! AND second- I sort of miss living in a humid area because I always thought it was better for my skin and wrinkles. So YES- that is funny that you mention that because I had to use DAWN detergent ( I know....not good stuff ) but it really cleans your brushes. I think the gel nature of the Future Skin sticks to the brushes and makes it hard to rinse out. I am also wondering if that is why they don't put this in a pump? I love the formula but it is MESSY. LOL! I hope this helps and it might be worth picking up the 'bad' dish soap just for cleaning our brushes. xoxo

Abby, I’m so relieved that I’m not the only one trying to figure out how to remove Future Skin!😅 I certainly have “Dawn” at my fingertips. It’s gentle enough. I’m going to work on my brushes tonight. Abby Bliss White ~ OMG! I just cleaned four face brushes with Dawn. They’re soft like when they were new. The one that was in the worst condition was a Sigma Flat Angled Kabuki F88 - very dense. (I won’t be using that one with Future Skin for now.😉) I had even tried shampoo. DAWN did the trick!!! Of course I rinsed multiple times. I think the glycerin in Future skin might also be the culprit. They’re happily drying now. You SAVED THE DAY and TWO brushes I thought were ruined forever. BEAUTIFUL and SMART. But I knew that already!!! xxoo 💋THANK YOU💋THANK YOU💋

Hey i just used my VB Primer for the first time this AM, did you put your regular moisturizer on first? I put mine on first and then the primer and I’m thinking how is any benefit from the primer going to reach my skin if my moisturizer is on the first?

Anne- I did the same thing and I am going to have to play around with this for a bit to figure out the best way to get the benefits. I used my regular moisturizer and then my SPF and then PRIMER today. Tomorrow I will try it as my moisturizer and then top with SPF and see how that works. I will keep you posted. xoxo

Loved this review! As soon as I saw this I was very excited to get home. I ordered my primer over a week ago apparently it was delayed due to weather.... grrr! It looks like mine will be here today or tomorrow. I have the chantacaille bronzer in my cart but I hesitated because I thought it looked a little dark and red. I’m fair so I wonder what your advice would be on that? What color would you suggest? Thanks for the review.

Janni- I would go with the Sirena! I might order that one as well because I love the formula. It is more golden in tone and they do not look as dark on the skin as in the pan. I hope this helps! And I can't wait for you to receive this VB Primer! I love it! xoxo

@@donnaj4528 Totally get it! It is a big investment. I love the Chantecaille Concealer and it is my favorite out of all. I love the Chanel Rose Corrector in the corners of the eyes but the concealer is too drying underneath my eyes- so prefer the Chantecaille. I love the Chanel Lip Balms- I have Intense and I think Deep and they are so hydrating and give you a little Chapstick stain on the lips. I hope this helps. xoxo

I do think that my face felt super hydrated and a bit glowy all day. There was not breaking up of foundation and I will have to pay a bit more attention today regarding longevity of foundation. It DEFINITELY provides all day hydration and glow. I will keep you posted. xoxo

@@barbarabailey5767 it is VERY peachy and I don't want to play up my PEACH. LOL! I love this foundation but I think the shade range is very tricky. Even when I mixed the too together it leaned peach - so i am going to keep alabaster and just add a bit of DE D-Bronzi if I need too!
