Many years ago, I used to work for a designer shop in Manchester called Flannels, David Beckham when he played for Manchester United was a very, very regular customer, one day I was on the shop floor and this girl came in, I didn't recognise her as I'd never really been in to pop, we got talking and laughing, it turned out to be Vicky Beckham, and for all these years, even at the height of the spice girl fame, I will always remember how funny, sweet, intelligent and humble Vicky is... I'm really proud of you, and to all those people that think she's a miserable cow... she's far from it, she's just a very wary person... Good on you girl! And thanks for posting the video.

Watching this makes me realize how much Victoria is helping not just the British fashion industry, but also the people as well by giving them reasonable-pay-jobs/employment. Watching how happy that guy with his work packing the box to be sent out at the end gives me the impression that Victoria is a very good boss as well.

What a smart step it was to start out from only 10 dresses and a small (but very well-thought) presentation. Who is a wise person? The one who has a sense of proportion and let things to develope naturally. Absolutely love this documentary and her designs. Thank you for putting this together and making it available on YT.

well produced, well done, while lots of people want to have money or be famous to do nothing (or for doing anything) she's WORKING and deserve compliments because of that. It's sad to read nasty comments, especially from women clearly jealous about what Victoria has and still building. Personally I don't know this lady, and doubt if she would ever talk to me... but I still paying compliments where is due. (I'm a manufacturer myself that KNOW how difficult is the trade.... I wish I could meet her and her team, seriously because I'm just like... detail oriented and hard worker for several years)

She has a lot of money and houses and kids and a nice husband. I am not jealous of that part. Not at all. What I comment on, is that she has no talent at all, and has only been driven by greed for fame. She is not a natural lady. She doesn't appear stylish naturally. She poses, stiffly, all the time. She cann't sign, and cannot draw or design. She didn't go to any kind of college for design, she didn't do any type of ground work for this meanwhile Yojo Yamamoto, Paul Smith, Vivienne Westwood and the rest have spent a lifetime NOT being famous before anyone bought their clothes, and they'd be happy to continue in that way. VB has always just wanted fame, at whatever cost. She's said it herself, she wanted to be famous. Not " I love drawing, and I love to design". No. Just " I like wearing nice clothes". All designers draw, sketch, and spent months or years perfecting their craft. She doesn't and never has. She never talks about designing and drawing. She can't do those things. She sees Roland MOuret's designs and basically copies them. Watch the earlier documentaries, you will see and hear her say, from childhood, she only wanted fame, but no idea as what. The talent didn't matter. She is famous for marrying the real talent- David Beckham. Where they're from in UK< evryone knows David Beckham is the real talent. He has actual talent becaise he scored a ton of goals for football in the English team in many matches and world cups. She was in a fake girl band. A manufactured plastic pop band who's songs and dance routines were created for them. They can't sing, they're a girl band. He saw her, and fancied her. They got married, so now she was as famous as he. Only for that fact. This is the only reason she has notoriety and people know her. In the same way the Kardashians and Kelly Osborne is famous, Victoria Beckham is famous. For being on TV. That's all. I disrespect her for that reason. There are thousands of people with real talent slaving in college and design/art/performance colleges and on the street , and this is why I comment against her. If her designs were hers, if she did the drawings, if she had ANY talent, if she'd made any of this happen without buying mass publicity to persuade, you and could let the designs stand on their own, with HER artwork and her own ideas, then I'd be applauding her. But right now I see a culture of people getting famous for no reason other than vapid internet leeches like you, who don't know the difference between fame talent, and god given talent. Peace.

Tordy Clark Agree with you- except I giggled to myself when you said David Beckham is the 'real talent'. For what? _Kicking a football_??!!!! Also, Victoria wasn't in a girl _band_ -*none* of them played a single instrument; the actual term should be _group_ . VB and DB are both people who got very lucky (and good luck to them), and Vicky was actually born into money, so she was always gonna be ok. Lucky people. I can honestly say though that apart from David being nifty with a football, there isn't anything super talented about them. But if they give lots to charity, then that's something. I have zero interest in fame, and I have loved singing and dancing (love being in theatre) way before it became the big deal it has become the past few years (X-Factor etc). I'm not even someone that takes selfies. I hate the big ego that the new generation is so obsessed with. It's so disgusting. Young people are so in love with themselves and their own image these days. They waste so much time gazing at themselves. Such an ugly passion.

To this day, her 1st and 2nd collections are still my favourites of them all as I love every single dresses in those collections. So beautifully made, sophisticated, sexy and elegant! To this day I love the exposed zip that's become the staple of VB in fashion. Not to mention that the advertisement for the 1st collection is very cute! Victoria looked super gorgeous and hot as well with that short, spiky, hairband hair. Actually...I love her dresses in every season especially the SS collections for every season since 2008!

For the most part, her clothing line is nice. I will not dispute that. However, I think the typically woman cannot wear her clothing because of the sizes she runs and the affordability. 1 dress is the cost of my damn mortgage. I understand she is high luxury but she often times talk about how she designs her clothes for the "working mom". What working mother can afford her clothing? Even her sunglasses are expensive. If she lowered the cost and made some clothing in + sizes, I would highly consider her clothes but I feel that she is not targeting a huge population of women because of these 2 restrictions.

I completely agree :), I guess the reason why it is expensive is because its high luxury..high price range goes hand in hand with the definition of luxury items. Plus luxury equates to the minority who can afford to wear them, it wouldn't be luxurious if it was for everyone (Sad but true). Yeah she shouldn't have said working mums (implying that the average working mum could buy her clothes), unless you're a working mum in high profiled professions like lawyers, doctors, actresses, ceo or leading director of a company..the average woman wouldn't be able to afford her clothing. I guess her sizes are fine, they go up to a UK size 14 and 16 (Large/XL)

jennevieve leigh this "fantasy and idea" of "high" and "luxury" should slowly be out of fashion - seriously, because it doesn't do anything, it is just pieces of fabric lets be dreadfully honest with one another. i love original people who make their own clothing personally. don't buy "high" and "expensive" ooooh look at me clothing, learn to make your own people. Learn.

kam lam How about learning this. We live in a capitalist society where there are luxury items that will be expensive. Are they a necessity? no. Fashion is an industry all by itself, although it is not a necessity it is art. You could say the same thing about a painting, what's the point of spending millions of dollars on a piece of old cloth on a canvas to hang on a wall? It's putting value on creativity. Fashion and making your own clothing is different. Not everybody has time to make their own clothing, thus is why there is a demand and supply for clothes in our consumerist society.

kam lam No, it does do something. When you look at high quality design houses, they use the best fabric, well-crafted structures, and intricate details that just can not be produced in low budget. They also possess very skilled and professional designers, pattern makers and all the other experts(Not that low market brand doesn't have got one.) What you say is like "Let's be honest. The painting of Picasso is as same as the amateur artist' work. It's the same damn thing!" Well it's not..

Watching this I am amazed that her name Posh from the spice girls still sticks, she was labelled posh as a joke, as her Estuary English is anything but posh, She speaks a very low form of English and without becoming a royal couple because of David ( who himself is an Essex boy, and proud of it as he should be). I doubt she would have had many of the opportunities shes had and the luxury life. Now shes a fashion icon? to who? 12 year old daughters of rockstars or the obscenely rich? they are the only ones who can afford her clothes and fit into them.

Throughout this doc I didn't see as many models who are what is referred to as "ethnic". There could be fair-toned models who are mixed because these women really do exist just as much as anyone else who really exists. However, "ethnic" models who have deeper tones need to be employed and need to have more visibility. "Ethnic" people have influenced British music and fashion, including one of Victoria's own group members. The daughters of "ethnic" people who have influenced British culture/fashion should be employed to reflect this.

My mum has a nursery in dubai but we all live in london, when she travels (whixh is quite alot) she takes my baby sister with her and I look after my dad and my 4 brothers (im 16). Ahe also skypes alot with her business partners to make sure everything is running smoothly and about the changes that have to be made. She also likes everything perfect, which is quite annoying sometimes. The only difference is that we dont exactly have that much money, and its not so big yet but hopefully it will be, in time.

Most women see Victoria as someone who transform her body..I never thought to much about there clothes because even so her style was great..her physique what makes her looks great.. she can wear rags and still looks amazing.. she's super toned.. I tell my daughters don't worry so much about the clothing.. invest in building and maintaining a good body ..and go to the thrift store

If you watch old videos like "the Real Beckhams", you can see that Victoria has always been very affected, very fake, very self-conscious and constantly posing her face and her body, she also wore very tacky trashy clothes. Now, in trying to present herself as a designer, you would think she would give up the affected fake constant posing, the constant clawing at her wig, the constant self-conscious behaviors, but she hasn't. It was painful to watch her at Football games with her kids, seeing her ignore the kids to pose, but even now, she will be with her family in Paris, and she will be ignoring her kids to stand at her car door clawing at her wig and ignoring her kids to strut and pose. She will be at the mall shopping and completely ignore her kids to stare into space in her sunglasses. She will ignore her kids at Disneyland to pose the whole time- the sour face, the sunglasses, no interaction with her kids. One wonders of Victoria will ever have the confidence to be herself?

That was an unpleasant read. You have a right to your opinion, obviously, but I do think you misread her. She is very self-conscious and quite shy and I think that is why she seems affected before the cameras. She does not know how to be her natural self in public.

She needs to grow up and get a proper job and as does her husband who keeps bankrolling her failed fantasies - she is no great designer and her business loses money that her husband makes good. She is just a pop singer who got lucky as is her footballer husband. They have done nothing much to deserve their wealth. Why don't they do some good with it like JK Rowling instead of massaging their huge egos.

Great movie. Really interesting. It’s funny but when Victoria was a Spice Girl I always wondered why she cultivated certain people. Elton John and David Furnish, Tom Cruise when they lived in LA. Gordon Ramsey (best chef ever) and Anna Wintor NY Vogue. I can rememberer editing a copy of Vogue, and appearing in interviews for the magazine, photo shoots of their home, plus the recent wedding covered by US Vogue. I now understand the cultivation of these talented people and in particular why. All have been influential in sustaining the Beckham Brand. I have to say that hats off to Victoria she has certainly made the Brand what it is today. With Anna Wintor the most powerful woman in fashion onside, you can’t really fail. Having said that the dresses are lovely. This one woman as in (The Devil Wears Prada) can make or break a budding designer. However, Victoria isn’t exactly on the breadline. When the question is posed “What makes a dream a reality” or something in that vein, the truthful answer is MONEY! If you have enough money you can make your dream a reality. If you have 2 billion dollars or pounds sure you can make money. If you fail there’s no bank loans no problems, just use more. I would love to own Arabian horses. Reality for perfection I would have to pay a fortune. Normality is not having the money to set up and design your own clothing line, or run a candy store which billionaire Ralph Lauren’s daughter does. Or ride one of several horses which cost over $300,000 like former Mayor of NY Bloomsburgs daughter does. I wonder when these celebrities are making their kids into mini models or buying them businesses stop to think this isn’t reality for millions of people. Having a major celebrity like Tom Cruise get you a leg up in movies? Or Gordon Ramsey giving you a chefs job? I also wonder if the children of celebrities think they’ve achieved success on their own through sheer hard work and desperation or do they think they are gifted? Take away the money and connections and see if your really as good as the sycophants tell you. In Victoria’s case, if she does actually design the clothing and accessories she sells that’s great, but without a combined fortune with David would her collection be as easy to launch? If she was a girl who hadn’t fallen into life’s lottery ticket by becoming a Spice Girl? Just a poor girl from Birmingham or Southend looking for their dream? Would they make it so quickly? I would ask that you made your clothing in larger sizes. We aren’t all size 0 or 2. A lot of middle age to older ladies would like to be considered as women too. We can’t all have personal trainers plastic surgeons and tummy stapling done. Not applying that to you, but you might consider a line for more mature ladies who don’t have the figure of a 12 year old! Good job keep it up for the UK! Very proud
