I worked in Seychelles for 10 years. First I was recruited as a Science teacher at NYS in 1983. I worked there for 4 years at St Anne village and for a short time at Cap Ternay village. Then I was given an opportunity to work as an instructor of Chemistry at Anse Royale Polytechnic. Finally I was a Science Instructor at the School of Teacher Education at Mount Fleuri. There may be several hundreds of my pupils who are doing very well in Seychelles at present. My children received their preliminary education in Seychelles. We being Sri Lankans, the children continued their education in Sri Lanka. They all (3 daughters) are University graduates. doing good jobs in Australia and we all are now living in Melbourne, Australia. Your video on the life in Seychelles fascinated me a lot and it was quite interesting for me to recollect the past in 1980s and early 1990s. One of the most interesting places for me is the 'mini clock tower' of Victoria. The post office premises next to the clock tower was our meeting place on Saturdays after a short round of shopping. We lived at Hermitage, adjoining the Victoria General Hospital. Thank you very much for your video. It is a coincidence ! Quite surprisingly, my eldest daughter who is 50 years old now, is visiting Seychelles today ( 14 th January 2023) with her husband and two sons aged 24 years and 21 years. I have posted several articles on Seychelles in my Blog post

To visit you don’t need any visa. Seychelles is visa on arrival country. But to work you need to have working visa from your employer.

It gets busy during the day, every day except Sunday. When I made the video, it was almost 8 a.m. That’s why you don’t see many people around. But if you go after 11 or 12, this place is full of people.

Thanks. Yes Majority locals are Africans. You can not exchange Indian Rupees here. But SCR is 5 times more than Indian rupees if I am understanding Your question right.

Honestly, I took the bus every day for my work but still, I don’t remember it now. So I can’t tell you which bus goes to the airport. But it won’t be challenging to find it as you go into the terminal and look at the boards on the stations. Or ask someone.
