Nah, everyone is way too hard on Victoria. She's not excusing his behavior, she's giving her own, personal opinion on forgiveness and HER take on how SHE feels about the situation SHE was put through. Everyone is pushing all these Nickelodeon child actors to speak up but when they do so and say one thing that the mass doesn't want to hear, it's wrong? It's really disgusting to see people who are on the outside of this situation attacking her for how she wants to move forward with her trauma/experience. You can have a bad experience with someone and still be grateful and again, she is not excusing anything he did.

Sometimes, I hate the public and their perception. Victoria talked about her personal experience with the man, which she didn't have to by the way it seems it was due to the public pressure, the public wants to see this man burn. But because her story doesn't completely fit into the public narrative of him, people then grossly accuse her of covering or siding with him. Dude, what do you want from her? She's telling her story and how she walked it out. This just shows the public's true colors. They don't care about these child stars. They just like the over sensationalized "entertaining" story. It's like true crime. We separate ourselves from the reality of it and just take it in as mindless entertainment. I'd also like to say stop forcing these child stars to come forward with their tramua. We're not entitled to it. Just look at what happened with Drake after the quiet on set documentary. Just because they don't come forward doesn't mean they are complacent or covering for them. If talking about your tramua isn't easy on a personal level, it's worse on a giant national scale.

I do want to state this, because nobody can seem to goggle ages, but many of the cast members of Victorious were 18+ by the end of season 1 and by season 2, the rest of the main cast was 18+ as well. I’m not saying they didn’t have trauma from the show, but compared to the other stars who came out, they weren’t as young and may have experienced their show differently.

Victoria can never win. I’m standing by my girl. She didn’t take away from anyone’s pain, however she’s trying to maintain the little credit she has left. Her statement may come off a bit insensitive. Of course she could have worded it better, but she’s speaking from HER experience. One thing is certain, had her mom not been there, Victoria could have experienced the worst of the worst just like her fellow actors. i think if someone wants to speak publicly about her experience with him, and if shes perceived as a potential victim, that gave her reason to speak out and say she doesn't feel that way. that doesn't mean she wasn't. she just may not feel like one. she still was a child/teen put in inappropriate situations. people shouldn't judge her for her perspective. shes allowed to feel how she feels about it.

I did notice an error in the beginning of the video. There is a part where she says how Drake Bell dropped a "heat breaking, jaw-dropping, mind-blowing expose about what Dan Schneider did to him as a kid". For the record, Dan Schneider isn't the one who SA'd Drake. It was Brian Peck, AKA "Pickle Boy". Drake actually said that Schneider was pretty much the only person in the business who believed and supported him. But at the same time Drake acknowledges that his experience with Dan was not the same as everyone else's and doesn't try to downplay the experience others may have had with him because he knew what it was like for no one to believe what someone did to you because everyone else had nice things to say about the person you're accusing. And it's also not to negate the fact that Dan Schneider mistreated other Nickelodeon child actors (or cast and crew), but it is irresponsible and sloppy reporting to mix up important facts to the point that it's factually incorrect, especially about serious actions.

the dark room with just the two of them is a recording studio, probably rerecording some lines that weren't clearly said or had to be changed after recording the actual scenes. There was probably a window with more people behind it but you can't hear them because that's the point of an audio studio. Not saying it was all fine but just correcting the "nobody knows why it was such a dark room"
