Okay but i think the most romantic part was when victoria said she wanted albert to smile at her. And then we don’t see him smile at all until their first kiss and he’s smiling like he can’t contain it. it’s just so sweet and innocent and i love it

The spoken English of the British Victorian era is the perfect model. Such dialogue "a love like ours can burn down a city" is immensely enchanting to simply utter in words.. and unfortunately such beauty and depth is a rarity in the modern English. Hence we must preserve the sanctity and purity of the old English..

I will never get over Nancy and Mr Francatelli. I mean this is a period drama those rarely end well, I'm fully aware but I was so invested in their story and their narrative was so beautiful 😭😭😭 it's a shame it ended the way it did. It was devastating to me....

As a history buff, this show made me go "Yarrggghhh!" when it halted. They were just about to hit one of the most fascinating parts of Victoria's entire reign, her and Albert's meetings with French Emperor Napoleon III! They literally changed European history and buried the hatchet between the Bonapartes and British royals. It's never been done in any drama to my knowledge. So frustrating to stop when they did.

I have cried at many deaths in shows but it is rare that I ugly cry and that was one time I had to pause the show and walk away for a bit because I didn't at all expect that and it broke my heart

The casting was well chosen. The actor who plays as Albert was a stunner. And he had dark hair blue eyes like the real Albert.

End your heartache. He was 58 when Victoria came to the throne, she was 18. Despite attempts by third rate script writers, the idea that she was in love with him, or he with her, is ludicrous in the extreme. He was a father figure whom she came to rely upon in the early years of her reign. Let's just say they were great friends and there was a degree of fondness for him as a father figure. These period drama programs are pitched at a young audience. Take them with a pinch of salt.

I don't know about the most romantic moment but I think the sexist is when Albert and Ernest are walking down the stairs and it just shows their boots and then they show their face for first time. HUBBA! HUBBA! And I'm a 63 year old women.

This show made me squeal far too many times because of Albert and Victoria's relationship, especially in Season 1. Albert is such a romantic in his own way, my heart fluttered far too much lol. I really liked the way they "met" while Victoria was playing the piano and all. It was so....real, and just right. Not too cliche. Albert also says the sweetest things to Victoria and I just can't contain it every time he does 😭 their love story makes me feel so alone but I guess, that's fine lmao

This show is fantastic! I don't think any of us are going to be ready when Albert becomes sick. Their bond and their love was so strong and so deep and so pure and everlasting that Victoria never married again and wore black for the rest of her life. She had to live out the rest of her life without her true love by her side. Prince Albert died at age 42. Victoria would not be reunited with her angel for another 40 years. Absolutely heart-breaking.

He was great for beating his children he was very controlling and often belittled Victoria and made her doupt herself... If that helps you. (Ps beating children was normal in Victorian era)

@@jasongannon7088 Albert and Victoria were very strict with their children. They did not see their children as "children", but as future rulers who started their royal training from day 1. To be fair, they raised an entire generation of Europe's kings and queens - hence Victoria's nickname, "The Mother of Europe" and later "The Grandmother of Europe". The people used to say that WW1 would never have happened if she had been alive, because all Victoria had to do was summon her grandsons (the Czar, the King, and the Kaiser) and order them to play nice and leave their poor countries out of it.
