I agree. It may be true that you can get a vintage-esque look by doing things the "speed" method but knowing how and why a hairstyle is engineered( yes engineered is the right word here) a particular way gives you authentic and lasting hairstyles. I appreciate that you explain everything.

Because she's being particularly informative and explaining the whole process, which is important to some people especially regarding hair type. It's really not that hard to skip forward to the spot where you want to start. It took you longer to whinge about it than it would take to fix the problem.

@Schnoogles That's because a victory roll is a giant pin curl. THe difference is the placement. The larger one is places in a traditional victory roll and the 'sideways pin curl' is lying flat against the head. But you form them the same way.

I liked the way you wear your hair in every step you are going through. This shorter hair is very, very nice on you. You could stop even before brushing the newly release curls and you would be a little Shirley Temple but, seriously, it looked great on you. It is nice listening to your baby when she is happy.

I know this is old but wanted 2 comment 4 girls who have THIS hair type & are looking for great hold w/out greasy or stiff finish... After years of trying millions of combos I finally found “KMS HAIR PRIMER MOUSSE” & its seriously the most amazing thing ever. Its kinda weird cuz it crackles when u put it in ur palm but I when I use it on damp hair & then use whatever else (like leave in conditioner or salt spray, etc) I can get regular curls to hold for DAYS when they normally fall out within an hour despite prep.

I use them sometimes. I prefer pillow rollers, personally. But I discuss rag rollers in my 'Roll With Me' video.

Well, this came out very, very well. Outstanding! I am always inspired to try new things after watching you. Do you think it would be odd to do just this style hair without the clothes or makeup? Also, do you ever get tips from older ladies who actually did their hair like this back in the day? I would love to see an interview series on older ladies and their hair and you could ask them all kinds of questions. It could be another series for you!
