With this info, is the inverter acting as a grid tie inverter? Does it sync up to the grid like a grid tie does so whatever is sent out from the inverter is synced to what ever is being brought in from the grid?. That's what I'm looking to do with either a Mutiplus or Quattro.

Yes, it is a grid-tie, so it must sync to grid. Syncing to a grid source is native to Victron inverters - think caravans and river-boats with shore-power.

Excellent vidéo, thanks for your work. Do you have an idea, for using the CT system to power the load, with solar source only? Having lithium batteries at home I mean without discharging them for thé external load through ACin at night. That could be a great way to use the excess solar power during the day

I am planning this exact setup but MP is 30m from grid connection. I have read differing views about whether CT will work with cable extended to that distance. It would be FANTASTIC if you could put do a test run on your rig to answer the question once and for all! Many thanks

Will the inverter throttle it's output if the loads start to pulling too many watts for the inverted to handle? That would be awesome to hook on your main house panel and supplement power and have the grid kick in under high loads. Seem like a much better solution than setting up a large main panel grid passthrough system.

Yes it will self throttle and keep operating within safe spec. The inverter can only do the most it can do!

If i understand you are taking power from the multiplus from the ac in ? and the sensor is there so no power goes to the grid (utility) ?

Hello, thanx for the video. Did you install the ESS assistant on the Multuplus-II using VEConfigure, prior to setting up the ESS system on the Cerbo?

Thanks, totally missed the arrows on the CT at first. Did you check the box for "Use Aux1 as disable FeedIn signal" in the grid code settings for this to work?

Great video. Amazing what this inverter can do. Do you still need the external current sensor if all your loads are on AC Out?

You do not. What's nice is the external sensor is good to 100 amps. Where is the multi plus transfer switch feed through from the grid I believe is limited to 50 amps. So this lets you account for much more loads than you could feed through the inverter. It effectively makes the non backup AC out not needed.

Lost you with the grid set point. You said if you don’t want to feed back you would increase the wattage 🤔

Notice during the video, his grid goes from 5w : 6w down to -2w : -3w… anytime it’s minus, you’re feeding the grid, so if you set a buffer of say 10w : 20w, the grid won’t ever go negative. (I think)
