This is the complete first video in the new series on Eli, Eli, Lamma Sabacthani? (the 11-volume collection on Vatican Council II, written by Atila Guimarães), available to watch for free here on KZfaq.
Discover the monumental book that broke the fear to speak out against Vatican II. Watch the author, Atila Guimarães, explain how Dr. Plinio Correa de Oliveira assigned him the task to analyze the Council, how ambiguity in the texts allowed Progressivism to install itself in the Catholic Church, and how the progressivist authorities created the crisis that we have in the Church today.
A work that took 35 years to complete and is being presented to the world for the first time!
An audio-visual journey that is meant to help present-day Catholics understand the crisis in the Church.

My dear TIA -- Paula told me about this video, and we watched it together: she at her home and I at mine. Beautiful! Magnificently done by all, and it was a joy to be 'connected' to you all through this surprise video. Of course, the scenes of NO were too painful for me to watch, so I turned away until they went bye-bye. I could not afford to buy any more books, so that's why I'm short of volumes - but know my prayers are always with you, and I thank God for allowing me to know you personally, even though the time was too short. Love to all, jje

Personally, I'm confused as to what to believe regarding sedevacantism. Their arguments sound logical, but at the same time, something seems off. I often consider making the switch, but then worry that I might be following a heretical sect by doing so. Right now I attend the Eastern-rite liturgy. They are incredibly reverent and traditional. The tabernacle is front and center. It's impossible to take communion in the hand, because they drop it into your mouth with a spoon. The priest celebrates mass with his back to the congregation. My reasoning is that if the pope wants to be an idiot, we don't have to listen to him; in fact, we become obliged to disobey. My parents used to say to me, "Well, if so and so tells you to jump off of a bridge are you going to do it?" I also think of the Fatima message in which our Bleesed mother said that the Holy Father would consecrate Russia, but that it would be done late. How can that be so if the seat of Peter is vacant? Will the real Jesus Christ please stand up.

I couldnt in good conscience consider leaving the Church just because a bunch of old curmudgeons can't accept the Church's teaching in one of its Councils. Every single council of the Church has produced schismatic groups and split off who run around claiming "apostasy" about whatever thing the Church has ruled on. Sedevacantists are just modern day Donatists. Satan has his claws in them.

So if the Church is invisible, if membership in the Church depends on a person's interior state (such as love), then it is impossible to know who belongs to it. Indeed, if I were to claim that an individual was not Catholic, then I would be "judging" them, because how could I know what they were feeling inside?

John 14:6 Jesus says " I am the way the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father but through me." Peter says in Acts 2:38 " repent and be baptized everyone of you for the remission of sins and you will recieve the gift of the Holy Spirit. " Again Jesus says in John 3:18a " He who believes on him is not condemned" How is it then that Catholic Tradition holds that man is condemned if they believe on Christ outside of the Roman Catholic Church? How is it that the Roman Catholic Church says there is no salvation outside of her when the Son says there is no salvation outside of him? How is it that Paul says in Romans 6:4 that "we are burried with Christ and raised with Him through baptism." but Rome says we are baptized into the Holy Catholic Church? Paul warned about traditions of men Colossians 2:8. Plus when I take the sacrament of Eucharist is it even valid under this Pope that is in obvious error?

Jesus formed one church with Peter as the "rock". Also, Jesus told Peter in the Gospels, " whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in Heaven, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in Heaven." Peter was considered as the primary or head apostle as you can read in the Book of Acts. Certainly there were disagreements between apostle Paul and Peter at the council in Jerusalem. But you can see as you read in Acts how they reconciled their differences and still accepted the authority of apostle Peter.

Vatican II - A normal council? Hermeneutic of continuity or hermeneutic of inversion? The mind of the early Church was specific although her formulated doctrine was less specific. For that reason the formulated doctrine needed to be constantly specified to better articulate WHAT WAS ALREADY BELIEVED. Whereas the post-conciliar trend is to modify the mind of the Church to conform to a more generically formulated doctrine. Did Vatican II leave out or ignore some essential Catholic Doctrine? A consideration of Vatican II using the concepts of genus and species. Without getting into the historical background, inner workings and doctrinal details of the Vatican II documents and rather relying on what most Catholics know about it, the following analogy I think is most revealing: Aristotle says that the natural way of learning and coming to know things is from the generic to the more specific. Just as when we see something moving in the distance we first identify it as a body and then as it moves closer an animal and even closer a man and finally as this particular person; Socrates. Now it needs to be understood that there is a difference between our knowledge of a thing and the thing itself. Furthermore if someone were to give the definition of the species of a thing instead of giving the definition of the genus of that thing one would give a more precise and fuller account of the thing. In other words, the more specific our knowledge becomes of something the closer our knowledge resembles the thing, the truer our knowledge is. (Truer, in the sense of having more truth. Adeguatio res et intellectus) This is the natural way man comes to know. To try to move in the opposite direction is unnatural and against human nature. To try to forget what one already KNOWS about something in order to know it more generically is an act of violence against oneself. It would entail force that goes against one's own nature. Using an analogy this would be like a seasoned cavalier who has known horses his whole life attempting to not consider a horse anymore as a horse but rather as an unspecified animal. Now what is more generic and less specific is more universal. Whereas as what is more specific is more exclusive, in the sense that an essential difference is added to the genus in order to define the species. This sets it apart from other species. In the same way when one says the word animal it can apply to many things. Whereas, when one says man it excludes many things and applies to just one type of animal. Now, things that exist in reality ARE NOT generic they are specific. The Church founded by Our Lord is a real existing reality. It is something specific with its own essential elements and properties. A specific account of the Church includes more essential elements than a generic one. The Councils, pronouncements and doctrines throughout the ages became more and more specific. The Church's awareness of itself approached more and more the reality of its own being. It is impossible to move in the other direction. In other words it is impossible to move from a specific knowledge to a more general confused knowledge. A generic knowledge of anything is always more confused than a specific one, just as knowing something only in so far as it is an animal is more confused than knowing it specifically. Instead, our knowledge specifies as we gain acquaintance and experience of a thing. One may object that the Apostles or early Christians had a very clear and specific knowledge of the Church. This is true. However the Church's formulated doctrine was not as specific. Throughout the centuries this doctrine became better formulated and more specific. This was necessary especially to rule out heresy and error. A more generic knowledge on the other hand leaves out essential elements since it can never define as well and as close to reality as a specific account can. Take for instance the treasure of Dogmas the Church has and considering for instance the doctrine of Transubstantiation or the Immaculate Conception. These are very well defined truths of our faith. To try and forget about them and return to a more generic explanation would, at this point in time, leave out essential elements. One may ask, why say "at this point in time" would entail leaving out essential elements? Its necessary to say "at this point in time" since one could object and say that the early Church's catechising was not as formulated as it was post Council of Trent, yet we cannot say that the Church left out essential elements in its teaching at that time. This is true and that is the point. When heresies attacked the faith of the Church, as what happened with Luther's idea of the Real Presence during mass, the older formulation of what happens during the consecration was no longer specific enough. Therefore the Church better and more specifically defined this miracle using the concept of transubstantiation. Any teaching now on the Real Presence which left out the concept of transubstantiation would at this point in time leave out what has become essential elements. Unless we would pretend that the threat of heretical interpretations no longer persists and a generic account would immediately render a correct understanding. However we know this is not the case. Now, in order for Vatican II to be less divisive, open to non Catholics and ALSO IN ORDER FOR THERE TO BE CONSENSUS AMONGST THE COUNCIL FATHERS, THE COUNCIL HAD TO REVERSE THE NATURAL PROCEDURE AND PROCLAIM SOMETHING MORE GENERIC THAN PREVIOUS COUNCILS. Now, one could argue that the council taught no error. Entering into this debate is not easy and not for the most of us. However knowing that the council purposefully decided to be less specific and more generic is known by all of us. Can we say that a generic knowledge of a thing is deficient compared to a fuller specific knowledge of a thing? Trying to go against oneself and forget what one once knew or defined creates the impression that one must have been wrong once upon a time. Because why else would one try to forget or forget to mention what one once knew or defined? How many people do we know who have used Vatican II to look back and interpret older Councils? Anything more specific than the Council is frowned upon as superfluous and outdated. But does truth age? Never the less can we blame them for acquiring this habit when this is a natural consequence of artificially regressing and not progressing in knowledge? Of trying to be less specific and more generic? Furthermore, there is a prevalent assumption amongst "post conciliar" Catholics that Vatican II attempted to strip Catholicism of whatever is non essential. But, this leads to a contradiction since to hold this view would be to believe that a specific account is less essential than a generic account. This is the same as saying that the definition of man as rational animal is less essential than defining him as an animal. I would therefore like to ask: Why do we think Vatican II is supposed to be a type of update of Catholicism or a type of refocusing of the Church on what is really essential? Did the Council Fathers intentionally want to be less specific for the sake of truth or was this a consequence of trying to find consensus both internally and with the outside world? Was the Church's self awareness and identity diminished on account of this? Following the proverb Lex orandi lex credendi and its just as true corollary lex credendi lex orandi is it fair to say that an analogy can be drawn: as the new council (specific to generic) compares to the organic evolution of doctrine (generic to specific) so does the new mass compare to the organic evolution of the ancient mass? This leads to the next question: in trying to reverse the natural progression from generic to specific and trying to return to the more generic with the excuse of returning to the mode of expression of the early Church does the real danger exists of actually becoming more generic than the early Church itself? There is an essential difference here: the mind of the early Church was very specific although her formulated doctrine was less specific. For that reason the formulated doctrine needed to be constantly specified to better articulate WHAT WAS ALREADY BELIEVED. Whereas the post-conciliar trend is to modify the mind of the Church to conform to a more generically formulated doctrine.

You like attention that is obvious. It is a SIMPLE fact that the Vatican II documents are full of heresies and that its popes were Modernist heretics. In Bergolio, we now have an apostate. All of your dense commentary is excessive, unnecessary and obfuscating. Any Catholic of good will can learn the DOGMAS of the true Church through reading a Trent or Baltimore catechism, the Doctors and early Church fathers and the encyclicals of pre-Vatican II popes. No one will learn anything worthy from your self-serving post other than the fact that you meet the definition of blowhard.

So true, Jesus our Redeemer, Lord and Savior, warned us about the wolves dressed in shepherds clothes. Saint Paul advised the church to test the fruits to discern its fruits. Us the church militants must stay secured in the Holy Traditions, Practices, Dogmas, Beliefs based on what Jesus Himself instituted and built His Bride the Catholic Church. No clergy, no theologian or entity can change the principles of the Catholic Church as the Only means of salvation. Vatican II gave birth to the Masons infiltrators to come out of their dungeon and to the main altar of the Seat of Saint Peter. Since Vatican II, the fruits of the masons and their instruments are evil and corrupt. It is our obligation as the church militant to preserve and persevere in these times of trial of our Holy Mother the Church. Jesus words will never pass, His words are living streams of water, which will never cease, no matter who or what tries to stop the flow of the Living Water.

Tradition in Action Media Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church. Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit will guide the Church throughout the ages until the end of time. Catholics can stop wringing their hands and stop pushing panic buttons. We have the Catechism of the Catholic Church which teaches all the truths and doctrines we must follow. As for how the Church interacts within the world and among the non-Christian world throughout the different epochs of SalvationHistory, this is for the Church to determine with councils. Yes, there are people inside the Church who cause confusion, but that’s nothing new. There were, are, and always will be traitors, scoundrels and hypocrites among both the laity and the clergy, beginning with Judas among the 12. Always remember that Jesus personally chose Judas and even washed his feet. God uses both the good and the wicked to accomplish His will. Our role is not to be spreading gossip, but rather to be working on transforming our own heart, to be sanctified in order to bring the light of Christ in this dark world. After all, today could easily be the last day of your life; what if your death and judgment was scheduled for 8 p.m. tonight? Corporal and spiritual works of mercy will help you on judgment day; not spreading gossip, suspicion, detraction and slander. Yes, be aware of those who try to subvert the Church, but do not fall into the trap of dialectic Marxism, which pits one group against another based on lies and half truths in order to cause rebellion and revolution. Our mission on earth is a lesson in love toward God and neighbor, nothing else. Everyone has a different job and responsibility inside the Church. Nobody is getting away with anything. God is in charge of His Church.

Tradition in Action Media Again, trust the Church, not the Internet. The problem is that people rely too much on the internet, rather than taking the time to learn what the Church actually teaches by simply studying the Catechism of the Catholic Church: The Church does not teach that everyone will be saved from eternal damnation. In fact, the Church teaches that outside the Church there is no salvation. But one has to grasp what “No salvation outside the Church“ actually means. First of all, a person becomes a member of the Church through baptism; thus one has to be baptized in order to be saved. The Church teaches that there are three types of baptisms, one of which is the Baptism of Desire. The baptism of desire applies to those who are invincibly ignorant of the truth. The key phrase here is “invincibly ignorant”. Read what Pope Pius IX wrote in his 1863 encyclical: "Here, too, our beloved sons and venerable brothers, it is again necessary to mention and censure a very grave error entrapping some Catholics who believe that it is possible to arrive at eternal salvation although living in error and alienated from the true faith and Catholic unity. Such belief is certainly opposed to Catholic teaching. There are, of course, those who are struggling with invincible ignorance about our most holy religion. Sincerely observing the natural law and its precepts inscribed by God on all hearts and ready to obey God, they live honest lives and are able to attain eternal life by the efficacious virtue of divine light and grace. Because God knows, searches and clearly understands the minds, hearts, thoughts, and nature of all, his supreme kindness and clemency do not permit anyone at all who is not guilty of deliberate sin to suffer eternal punishments." Encyclical On Promotion of False Doctrines (Quanto Conficiamur Moerore) by Pope Pius IX, 1863 As St. Peter said: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right” Acts 10:34-35 Now listen to what Pope St. Pius X explained: "A person outside the Church by his own fault, and who dies without perfect contrition, will not be saved. But he who finds himself outside without fault of his own, and who lives a good life, can be saved by the love called charity, which unites unto God, and in a spiritual way also to the Church, that is, to the soul of the Church." -Pope St. Pius X, Catechism of Christian Doctrine At the heart of salvation is repentance from of sin. Since God writes his laws on the hearts of all men, no one has an excuse for being wicked. As for one’s judgment, we will all be judged on our love toward God and neighbor. Obviously there are many wicked people who hate God and hate neighbor, so yes, wicked people will be condemned to eternal damnation if they do not repent. One need not actually say with their lips that they hate God or neighbor, one says it through their actions and what they hold in their hearts. Furthermore, one has to realize that, while baptism incorporates you to the Church, it does not guarantee that you will be saved in the end. Even if you accepted Jesus, believe all the teachings of the Catholic Church, go to mass and cry out “Lord, Lord!”, your salvation is contingent on persevering in God’s grace and not turning away from God. As St Peter said: ‘If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning”-2 Peter 2:20 In other words, you can say you love God and believe everything the Church teaches, and baptized in a beautiful ceremony and attend the Traditional Latin Mass; yet if you have unforgiveness and hatred in your heart when you die, your chances for salvation are slim. For example, if you aren’t talking to your sister or brother and are holding resentments in your heart yet you are going to mass and receiving communion, you are committing the sin of sacrilege. While salvation is possible for people who are not cradle Catholics or who do not formally convert to the faith, it is much harder for them to be saved. After all, it is the Church who reminds her children to do daily examinations of conscience and to confess our sins to a priest who can absolve us from our sins even with imperfect contrition. We also have the fountains of sanctifying grace in overflowing measures through the sacraments of the Church that help sanctify us and free us from our slavery to sin. The whole point of the gospel is a transformation of heart; not a meticulous observation of rules. The sacraments were instituted by Christ to give us grace to be spiritually transformed. That being said, Christ reminded us that to those to whom much was given, much much more will be required.- Luke 12:48 Here is a video of Fr. John A Hardon, S.J. explaining in less than a minute how it is possible for a non-Catholic to be saved: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pLZxiah8x53Gcqc.html

As you said, you are no Theologian. If you are going to present a particular point of view, please present your case supported by evidence of wider reading on the subject which will then enable you to support your point of view with sound logical arguments. There was very little reference to the scriptures, and no reference to the writings of the Church Fathers and great Theologians of the early church. The Documents of Vatican 11 are very much scripture based. I am also wondering if you have heard about the MERCIFUL God.

Ed Havelock, You ask for “evidence of wider reading on the subject”. If you would have paid a little more attention to the video, you would have realized that these videos are introductions to Mr. Guimarães 11-volume [Book] Collection on Vatican Council II, which was written after exhaustive consultation and quotation with/of the Progressivist theologians themselves (those who were involved in the writing of the Council documents, their masters and pupils). The Collection contains around 14,000 quotations from close to 900 authors (as cited in the first volume, “In the Murky Waters of Vatican II”). Each volume (which number anywhere from 200-500 pages) are filled with quotes from Progressivist theologians, prelates, Popes and recognized scholars admitting and revealing their plot to destroy the Church. These Progressivist quotes are contrasted with quotes from Saints, doctors and theologians who defend the Perennial Magisterium of the Church. We hope next time you will be a little less hasty in your eagerness to put the author down. Cordially, TIA Media

@traditioninactionmedia

vivacristo1000: First, if you are not a Protestant, you should know that the Bible has one interpretation that is made by the Catholic Church, that Catholics follow. In this interpretation of the Church, there is no contradiction, and it always leads to the sanctification of the faithful and the Church. Second, Vatican II is ambiguous. The interpretation of its documents that has been coming from Rome for the last 50 years has led to the destruction of the Church that we are now witnessing. So, one is clearly uniform and sanctifying, the second is obviously confusing and destructive. Thus, before you attack us, you should check your presuppositions more carefully, to not receive answers like these. Cordially, TIA Media

Tradition in Action Media thanks for the reply. In reality, the documents of Vatican II are beautifully rooted in Sacred Scripture and are meant to be interpreted in the light of the Scriptures and teachings of the Church. Thus, as you yourself admit, the Scriptures can be ambiguous thus they need to be interpreted in the light of the teachings of the Church. The problem with Vatican II was not the council, but rather the abuses which followed. The devil is an equal-opportunity deceiver and works with both liberals in the Church just as much as he does with conservatives in the Church, and the goal of the spirit of deception is to spread gossip and lies that cause confusion among the flock. Archbishop Sheen spoke about this, how every time there is the action of the Holy Spirit, the devil moves in to try to distort and mislead. An average simple Catholic can watch some of these “Traditional” sites and leave thinking that Vatican II was a false council, an evil Masonic Protestant plot to destroy the Church; those lies are seeds take root in the minds of people and bear many different rotten fruits. Today we have a myriad of bloggers and KZfaqrs taking part in one huge global game of Chinese Telephone, where the very words of the Vicar of Christ are misrepresented, politicized, lost in translation and negatively spun causing confusion, gossip, suspicion and ultimately slander against the pope and Church. Here is Pope Benedict speaking about the difference between the true and the false Vatican II. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ecyEiqZm0bbXmIE.html

@@ACF1901 Satan would have people believe that the Church is misguiding the people. In reality, the Holy Spirit guides the Church, whereas Satan, the great accuser and liar, slanders the Church to cause distrust and division, in order to tear down the trust and faith of the people. It’s not that the Church is teaching error, but rather that the devil inspires the proud to think they know better than the Church. All the first Protestants were all Catholics who in the name of cleaning up the Church ended up ushering themselves and millions of people outside of the Church. Self-appointed freelance talking heads, now all over the World Wide Web stirring mistrust and spreading misinformation. The great deception is to make slanderers out of Catholics, who have been duped to slander not only Church Councils but the Holy Father himself. Who else would be Satan’s greatest target for slander than the Vicar of Christ himself. Be not deceived. Religiosity without transformation of heart leads to the hypocrisy, which is why Christ excoriated the Pharisees.

@@vivacristo1000 Pharisees were people in authority. So no you cannot call laity Pharisees. And it's vatican 2 that caused the division, schisming itself off from the church that had existed for 1900 years, literally trying to start all over again, pretending like the Church never existed before vatican 2, or that it was evil. Vatican 2 was hailed as a "new pentecost" by the anti-Pope and clergy. The Church was founded on pentecost, so literally they are saying it is a new church.

This is not true. It was already believed before Vatican II that non-Catholics could be saved. Pius IX himself told in Singulari Quidem: "Outside of the Church, nobody can hope for life or salvation unless he is excused through ignorance beyond his control". And in Quanto Conficiamur Moerore, he said: "There are, of course, those who are struggling with invincible ignorance about our most holy religion. Sincerely observing the natural law and its precepts inscribed by God on all hearts and ready to obey God, they live honest lives and are able to attain eternal life by the efficacious virtue of divine light and grace. Because God knows, searches and clearly understands the minds, hearts, thoughts, and nature of all, his supreme kindness and clemency do not permit anyone at all who is not guilty of deliberate sin to suffer eternal punishments."

Error's are contained in your evaluation: Vatican 11 LG on Eccuminsm has to do with Baptised Christians of other denominations. It does not refer to non Christians. These come under the heading of the Declaration of non Christian religions. Other Christians by virtue of Baptism possess the Holy Spirit. However these gifts of the holy Spirit rightfully belong to the Catholic Church. However, because they have separated themselves they do not possess the fullness of the faith. The Holy Spirit will not be pinned down, He goes where He wills. Example in both Testaments in the OT Eldad and Medad the two outside the camp received the Holy Spirit. In the NT Jesus defended those who where not disciples outsiders who performed miracles in his name saying, "Do not stop them for anyone who does a miracle in my name cannot speak evil of me". To deny that the Holy Spirit operates in other Baptised Christian's is wrong. They cannot be lumped together with non Christians. This is where you err and go wrong.

The Church has always taught pre-Vatican 2 that heretics that resulted from The Protestant Reformation are in fact NOT Christians. Only Catholics are true Christians. As “arrogant” that might sound, it is truly and purely charitable to correct. Not doing so and confirming one in error is a disservice, not to mention a mortal sin by committing sin of omission. Remember that the only objective Truth is God’s Truth, whether or not our intellect makes sense of it or not.
