On this album (Fine Line), there is a recurrent motif of the person he is in relationship with being associated with the sun, or actually the sun. I would suggest that the shot in which the sunlight from the window does not touch the left side of his face is intentional -- the sun continues to shine, but it doesn't touch him anymore. It's all real and harry was really underwater in this video. I think the director had shared some pics or mentioned somewhere that they had built this set and they slowly lowered the entire set with harry in it into a swimming pool. Honey, Harry is actually doing this under water. He talks about it in an interview and said that they did have the water warmed up a little which was nice of them. The person he’s singing about is a model he was dating. I believe her name is Camille Rowe. She was raised in France and the US and when the shutters open in the video you can see the Eiffel Tower in the distance. Harry and his team worked hard on this video and it is really stunning. All of Harry’s music videos are unique and very high quality, just like his music. One of my favorite videos is the long version of “Adore You”. Harry goes to great lengths to get his fans excited for his videos; leaving clues that fans have to figure out, etc. Harry does love to play games with his fans. I’m 75 and I think Harry styles is one of the greatest artists in music today. He never disappoints us.

It is a set piece, hung from a crane and lowered into the water. The lights near the water were waterproof LED from Hydroflex, lights rigged off the set and on the side of the water tank. This song, together with Satellite, are two of the saddest, most heart wrenching songs I have ever heard, Harry’s performance in both was so touching I just wanted to hug him and let him cry until he was done. Beautifully done.

we wish we had a behind the scenes but it's a rare treat from Harry, he's very scarse with the video content and has a very lean discography but we fans understand why he's like that and appreciate it. I was not a 1D follower but I heard this song when my granddaughter danced to it in her dance competition. I couldn't stop thinking about it and it set me on a journey to find out who sings it. I have not been disappointed. I am now officially a Harry Styles admirer. This song and this video never get old. It hits me deep every time and I can see it was something real for him. I love reading all of the comments from those who have followed Harry much longer. Their respect and love shine thru their words and I love the stories and explanations of how this was made. Harry is truly a one of a kind man. I pray he finds his soulmate for life.

Watching people do reactions to this song and video two years ago, was what originally got me into Harry Styles and a year ago I got to go to a concert of his that was near where I live. So it's nice to come full circle and watch a reaction focused on the filming rather than his voice.

Harry's video to Adore you is great but you must watch the long version to get the story. He even made up a whole island to promo the video. The man is a master of his craft. Another interesting one is "Treat People with Kindness" which is in black and white with a 40's esq feel. I believe he got a Best Choreography award for it. His first solo single was Sign of the Times in which he is Flying through the air. his video for Golden is good too. Harry Styles is a story teller. The visual story of the video may not be the same as the story you hear if you are just listening to the lyrics. The video for As It Was was yet another style of video. I think Falling was filmed after Harry was filmed in Dunkirk. He did a lot of swimming in the ocean for that movie which would have made him fairly comfortable in the Falling video. As for who the songs are about, Harry generally will not say. He holds his private life close to his chest. Who he portrays to the public is kept separate from his private life. you will hear rumors of Larry Stylinson, whether they are true or not, Harry uses it to his advantage to spark interest. He often would perform in a color called Louis Blue and does other things that seem to be connected to Louis Tomlinson. It works for them because true or not, people are still speculating about it 10 years later. in One Direction his role was to be the womanizer. Harry often would deny the title, he was only 16. He still is burdened with the title today. I think all those women he "dated" really were Beards or just friends. Anyone he is too close to gets lots of hate. Unless he writes a "tell all" book, I don't think anyone will know about his personal life. That is ok with me, I like his public persona. He doesn't know me, I don't know him, I don't need to know his personal life. I will follow the news on his public persona. He is clever, he used his time in One Direction to learn all he could. He surrounds himself with a top tier team.

I watched an in-depth interview with Harry done just as the album was released. The buzz was that he had gone through or was going through a breakup which he blamed on himself (rumour was he cheated) and most of the album was about this breakup. He spoke about sadness, and about wondering if he was becoming a jerk or someone he wouldn’t like, someone he doesn’t want to be. He did not specifically relate any of this to the song but it plainly is. So yes, drowning in sadness, regret and self loathing for being at fault. For saying and doing things that were hurtful that he can’t take back and can’t fix even if he apologizes. It’s too late, it’s done.

You should dig up Garth Brooks "The Red Strokes" which was filmed in 1994 with only practical effects. It's very similar. I won't ruin it, but Brooks said he almost hyperventilated and died during the shoot. A failure of a mechanical lift prevented it from happening.
