never felt that way. never understood why everybody feels this way. they make for a fun challenge. (Except Ocarina of Time Water Temple but that's not so much about the water as it is about how impossible it is to figure out the maze)

@@akpokemon It often has to do with the controls, or sluggishness of movement. Or the trauma of the Sonic drowning countdown. Maybe the difficulty of Ecco. Or that darn Earthworm Jim bathysphere. (Which, I'm way better at now that I'm an adult... but then Peter Puppy made me rage quit and uninstall.) BUT one of my favorite games ever takes place mostly underwater - - Subnautica. Magnificent game.

I mean almost 30 years ago when I was a 6 year old kid swimming and diving in the sea (and it was the sea of the north that has really nothing in it) I felt it was all magical like these songs. BUT! FINALLY!!!! Now I realize the sea is boooooring and meeeeeeeeaningless and aaaaaaall that and I can just dumb all shit in there because I can listen to these songs on KZfaq! To heck with the sea! It's so silly and boring

Same. I was passively listening to this when I heard the DK track come on. I had to look at the video because I had to remember where it was from! I remember hating the level(s), but the track is my absolute favorite. Dire dire docks is a close 2nd.

Would really appreciate it if you made more uploads like this. A lot of people do video game music comps, but they often feature the same handful of popular songs everyone has heard 50 times before. This playlist had a good mix of standard stuff with more obscure picks that were still really good quality, and I think that is the ideal for music playlists. Also the use of actual custom art vs. AI generated stuff is appreciated as well.

tysm for including abzu!! i know it may seem silly to say since it’s completely underwater, but it’s my favorite game and i feel like very few people talk about it. if anyone’s looking to play it for the first time, i recommend wearing headphones in a dark room. it’s incredibly meditative

Awesome. Surprised FFX's Lake Macalania theme didn't make the cut. Loved hearing Chrono Cross' "Another World" surprise me. Definitely look up "Lake Macalania FFX" if you need an extra boost to this fantastic assortment. Edit: I love that turtle flapping his way around during this.

Have to say though, rather than dreams of the shore as the second chrono choice, I think guldove would’ve been better. From another world was the better version if I remember right
