I've always had an issue with change, when everything feels out of control I loop video man and find comfort in his completely unchanged world. Every time I replay him it's the same, the same spot his voice becomes more melodic, the same inflection every single time. It makes my every changing world stand still for just a second and I get just a moment to relax.

I randomly remembered this video and rewatched it, and I finally get the point of it. Its been three years, and lot has changed in my life. I've made new friends, lost old ones, found love, and lost it just as fast. And in all that time, this guy has been sitting here, waiting for me to click on this video again, to sing the same thing to me. He's stagnant, forever trapped in his box, brought out only on rare occasions to sing. I'm sure I'll forget and remember this video over and over again, and each time I'll come back as an older and slightly changed man. But he never will, he'll just sing his song, because that's all he can do. He can't walk away.

I love how his works are all relatable in different ways for everyone. This one reminds me of how I feel with my parents and I's relationship. They can just walk away, I'm jealous. The pounding footsteps and all you can do is just watch with a calm "happy" expression, not allowed to change. Especially after my first year of college where I've actually have had the freedom to develop the "me" but being home I feel like I'm in a box all over again and fearing of a wrong word or facial expression.
