I've loved the original PitchFork ever since I bought mine, nearly six years ago now, and I've wanted an expanded, "deluxe" version of it for almost as long.
The PitchFork + represents what is probably the most versatile, compact, and best value pitch shifter on the market.
On the face of it, it's essentially like having two, regular Pitchforks in one box. However, after a couple of minutes, it soon becomes apparent that there's waaay more going on inside this thing than first meets the eye...
For a closer look at this pedal, and to see how it compares to the original Pitchfork, check out our "Noise Merchants" channel:

Here's the official, pdf manual for this pedal:

Honestly it's just because EHX doesn't hype up their pedals in the same way that every other company does, you know, giving freebies to reviewers and what not. I don't know if that's a fault of their marketing department or they're just trying to go against the grain.

do you know how to program the preset jump feature with the user footswitch? I heard you can do that with this pedal but not sure which part of your video explained it or not.
@PedalExperiments
@PedalExperiments 3 жыл бұрын
Good question. I think I glossed over that part in the video, as it gets pretty complicated. But I tracked down the relevant part of the manual that deals with the Jump feature: JUMP. - Turn VALUE to choose a preset slot ranging from 1-100. When the USER footswitch is pressed, preset will jump to and load the selected slot if a valid preset is selected. Any number of presets can be chained together. These preset chains can then be closed to create a loop of presets that are cycled through with each press of the USER footswitch. With the USER mode button is set to JUMP, any number of presets can be chained together. To set up a JUMP preset chain: 1. Press the PRESET button and use the VALUE knob to select the preset that will start the preset chain. 2. Press the USER mode button and use VALUE to select JUMP. 3. Press VALUE to enter the JUMP sub-menu. 4. Turn VALUE to select the preset that the USER footswitch will jump to and load. 5. Press PRESET, then press and hold VALUE for 2 seconds to save the preset. Important: Skipping this step will cause the JUMP selection to revert to its previous value when the preset was loaded. You must save before pressing the USER footswitch in the following step. 6. Press the USER footswitch to jump to the next preset in the chain 7. Repeat Steps 2-6 to add more presets to the chain. 8. To close a jump preset chain loop, set the JUMP value for the preset at the end of the chain to JUMP back to first preset in the chain set in Step 1. NOTE: Skip this step if you do not wish to loop the chain. Hope you can make sense of all that?

Is it possible to use an expression pedal on the pitchfork plus to scroll through a load of presets to achieve a bizarre randomizing effect? For example: Jumping from octave down - 5th up - 2nd down - octave up - 4th down, etc as you move from heal to toe. The reason I ask is because I once owned a Digitech PR1000 multi -effect and found by chance I was able to do this. However, I'm not to keen on multi-effects/modelers (option paralysis with 95% of options unusable and bulky) and keen to build a board from scratch which incorporates this effect.
@eproxy812

I am no electronics expert and thus I'm not certain this will work, but I think you can mod/build a footswitch that will short the terminals of the TRS cable with a transistor that is controlled by a square wave oscillator. I will try this with my EHX 720 Looper and if it works I can build you one too.

Hi. I have a question: Is it possible to use an expression pedal to go down an octave and simultaneously using the button on the pedal to activate a ringmod effect in the same preset? My idea is to use the expression pedal to downshift occasionally and press the button to occasionally add a ringmod effect. Using it as u pedals in one that can be activated seperately(exp pedal for pitch and button for ringmod)

Hey, so I currently own an old Line 6 Pod XT live multieffect that has a pitch shift. The functionality of that pitch shift is PERFECT for me because it has heel and toe parameters that I can adjust in half steps. So for example if I set it to heel zero and toe 12 it would just shift the dry signal up an octave. However I could also set heel to say 5, and the dry signal is automatically shifted up a perfect 4th when the expression pedal is in heel position, then up to the octave when the expression pedal is pushed down to toe position. The problem is that it's an old multieffect and the actual quality of the pitch shift isn't good and it can't handle multiphonics whatsoever. I've been looking for a pitch shifter that does exactly what my multieffect can do, but just does a better job and so far I can't find anything. Do you have any suggestions?
@PedalExperiments
@PedalExperiments 3 жыл бұрын
The Pitch Fork+ should be able to do that, tbh!
@willmorris8198
@willmorris8198 3 жыл бұрын
@@PedalExperiments Do you know how specifically? Because I don't see any function to shift the dry signal by default or shift the pitch in heel position. Could it be accomplished using the second pitch shift engine or does that only shift the dry signal (not the shifted signal)?
@PedalExperiments
@PedalExperiments 3 жыл бұрын
The dry signal can't be shifted. By definition, the dry signal is the un-effected sound of your guitar. You can however, set what pitch is at the heel position and what pitch is at the toe position. Then, you can dial in the volume knobs to either hear the 100% wet, pitch-shifted signal, or blend in your dry signal for a mix of both.

@@PedalExperiments you didn't take the time to create something useful, like showing how these sounds can be used in an actual song. Playing random stuff is not gonna cut it.
@PedalExperiments
@PedalExperiments 3 жыл бұрын
I appreciate the feedback, however my goal wasn't trying to show how to use the effect within a song, I was trying to show how the pedal works. There are plenty of other people out there who demo pedals by simply using them to play a song, and that's great for getting an idea of how the pedal sounds before you buy it. But what I aim to do with my "Video Manual" videos is to give a more thorough breakdown of the controls and what all the buttons/parameters do, which takes a considerable amount of time to put together. So, I'm afraid I have to strongly disagree with your statement that I "didn't take the time to create something useful", as I invested many hours of reading, thinking, planning, filming, and editing, all so I could provide a completely free resource for anyone wanting to know how this pedal works. That was my sole intention and if only one person watching this actually found it useful, then I consider it all worth it.
