Жыл бұрынTwitter users were left divided after Arsenal tweeted this video, showing a young mascot getting a shirt signed by players and manager Mikel Arteta.
Some fans were outraged as seemingly none of the Arsenal players appeared to acknowledge the girl, while others defended the team, who are chasing the Premier League title.
"Maybe less headphones and more interaction with the wee girl - fans like her are the ones that keep you where you are as a player who in the media team thought this video was positive??!!", said one user.
"A team in the midst of a title race are asked to sign a shirt moments before a London derby vital to winning a 1st league title in 19 years, without being told why, and politely oblige. But 2023 Twitter is crying because they didn’t pat the mascot on the head. Grow up", said another.

Okay....so a little girl had the entire Arsenal squad line up and sign a shirt for her. You'd swear they all showed middle finger to her as they passed when you read about it. People are looking for something to be mad at all the time on the internet what the hell. How do people even know this was the only interaction she had. What if there was a player who greeted her and talked to her before the video? Social media is a poison.

I love how people are defending the players. It's called common courtesy, respect and manners. Take out your earphones/headphones and say "Hello, how are you?" It's not difficult. Millionaires who forget where they have come from and the fans who pay their wages.

At least the players that day interacted with the little girl whilst signing the shirt whenever wearing headphones or not. Arsenal are an exciting club, even there are little girls, let alone little boys who love Arsenal.

If you look at the video, it was edited and just showed the players signing, she had lots of other great moments as well as walking out with the team, and her father said she had a great time. Arsenal is a very classy club and does a lot for our supporters and has brought the fanbase back to loving this team. a crap story. They even had all the reporters camped outside her house afterward, which is a lot more stressful for her, that would have ruined her experience more

You have no idea of the context, the day, what was happening off-camera, they clearly were heading into the changing room with a queue of players lining up behind them…not the time or place for a chat etc. According to her dad, she had a great day.
