In another hundred years, men and material will continue to be unearthed from the Second World War. The sheer size and scope of the Eastern Campaign is staggering. Thanx for sharing these wonderful, yet sad, findings.

In the US they are still metal detecting things from the American Civil War and that ended in 1865. You might be on to something LOL.

Thanks for sharing. You’re finding these items during peace time but all that mud really makes you think how horrendous the conditions must have been back then. It’s always so sad to see the very personal items.

Tôi là người Việt Nam quốc gia Việt Nam tôi thấy chương trình này của bạn rất hay 3 bạn đọc những dòng chữ trên thẻ bài của những người lính Đức tử trận trông chiến tranh họ nằm lại trên Chiến trường những gia đình của họ rất trông tin con của họ không biết chết rồi mà mất tích ở đâu bạn nên làm thêm 1 kênh kết nối yêu thương để cho mỗi gia đình của người Đức biết bạn chia sẻ thông tin của người tử trận có thẻ bài số quân gia đình họ có số trùng khớp thì họ đến nhận những truong trình này trên toàn thế giới đều sem rất nhiều và yêu thích tôi chúc bạn thành công

just wondering what are the chances of the grenades etc exploding ,i expect very little, but they must be dangerous to some degree

amazing how oxygen deprived freshwater preserves artifacts; items stored in dirt will not last even 10% as long as an item in O2 low fresh. complete opposite for salt water.

Does anyone ever consider that the ordinance found (mortar shells, hand grenades, cartridges, etc.) might, just possible, maybe could blow your asses to tiny bits? I've never seen such careless, nonchalant handling of such potentially deadly items. smh

Back then people used to make things to last. Now, it's all plastic or thin sheets of metal that deteriorate in just a few years. We never learn. People back then knew what sustainability meant. Now it's all B.S.

Think of the families at home, only knowing their fallen family were "missing in action" and now may know. Any identification tags, Soviet or Nazi, unbroken, are turned into respective govts.
