Diana relates intimately with this Russian folk song...it is about an orphan girl who seeks out the forest spirits by the river for permission to marry. Diana was an orphan herself for several years as her birth mother abused and abandoned her. She was later adopted by a woman who worked at the Orphanage...she wouldn't speak so they though voice lessons might help...so we receive the gift.

That's very sad story. No wonder she really put her soul into this song. even though I don't know what this song is all about but i still kinda get that feeling. Thank you for explanation.

Diana had a hard childhood but thanks to her foster mother Irina Ponik ( you can see her on the video ) everything has changed for the better! so she can translate the soul of the songs and we can get all wonderful emotions! like!
