tbh a kayak in the middle of the ocean is just asking for trouble lol, and a shark does bite when its curious, this time the shark thought the kayak is Prey, for a fish that big it make sense

What do you mean obedience. That doesn't register to sharks. They're only concerned with killing for energy and energy retention. Nothing else. If a shark leaves you alone, either you've come under their cloud of indifference and detachment, or you've physically disabled them.

Did allot in a twin prop as well. Anyways, one of our team got severely injured by a cayman n wnt into a death n roll. I had the saw n figured it was his only option. Aftermath of uploading over 40 rounds the gator took enough shots it let go n floated away. He only was hit by 5 rounds, all deep flesh wounds n one round stayed in his pelvic. It was unexpected n literally shook us up, as there were piranhas known in this area. Infection was a major concern, took f18 hrs to safe lz. First if A.. it's not like hes on a kayak.. it's a small boat the fishermen use down in the islands.. they are pretty decent size and strong cause the currents there can get crazy!! also.. if you look at where the tiger hit he hit the tan looking thing hanging off the left side of the bottom of boat it could have been mistaken for a sea turtle.. the shark wasnt actually going for him or the boat.. its whatever was in that tan thing hanging off side of the bottom of boat.. there may have been something in there like live bait it was attracted too.. those sharks cant knock those small boats over 😊

That's true to a point, as long as you're underwater. Anything ON the water that looks like a similar sized competitor they'll attack to protect their territory. He wasn't just after an easy meal. He was trying to k!LL a competitor. He's VERY lucky. In these cases they usually come back. Over and OVER. Till you're dead or reach shore. And it's exceptionally easy to get knocked off a kayak in the repeated attacks. He's VERY lucky. I hope he went to church the following Sunday 🤣

I'm no shark expert either, but I think that shark was doing an exploratory bite. There is no real danger anymore since the shark now knows what it is.
@16MedicRNАй бұрын
@@tedcation7940yes! That's exactly what it was. Pretty cool, actually, and this doesn't sound like the first time, either.
@TheMattC9999Ай бұрын
@@tedcation7940no, that was either a predatory or territorial attack. Chances are it was a predatory attack, if it was territorial it most likely would have continued the attack until the threat was eliminated, however being a predatory attack when the shark realized this wasn't in fact something edible it broke of the attack and left the kayak alone. Exploratory bites are just that, a curious shark who doesn't know what something is testing it to see if it is edible, they are generally nowhere near as violent as this attack, and in some instances can almost be gentle, as far as a biting shark can be gentle. A shark that hits this hard and fast is no longer exploring, it has already made up its mind to go into a full blown attack. Guy is absolutely lucky it only bit plastic, otherwise this attack could have had an entirely different outcome.

According to other KZfaqrs, all you have to do is not swim away and put your hand on its nose. As if that would work.
@foreverandaday81853 ай бұрын
At that speed the hand would be in its mouth.

Yeah, I have to wonder what Nimrod started that crap. Shark skin is rough like 100 grit sand paper, and when they bump you: they can leave a lasting impression. I spent too many hours in the water active duty all over the world. This shark meant business and d boaters very lucky he didn't come aboard. He was late with the oar strike as a deterant. VERY lucky fellow.
@Geraldb782 ай бұрын
I seen similar KZfaqrs. Not at that speed. They share if a shark is moving aggressively you should go under it, bellow its belly. The only time to push the nose is when it’s moving slower. Which isn’t always an option. But yes swimming away is pointless as the shark is faster.

I remember being told from a native Hawaiian that its not the Great Whites you should be afraid of because they bite once and then circle until you bleed to death. He said its the Tiger sharks that just keep biting. They're more aggressive. I dont care if its a Bull, GW or a Tiger. I am afraid of them all.
@mathewvanostin71185 ай бұрын
Lol they are the same The only difference is that the white shark is able to eat half your body in 1 bite attack You have almost 0 chance to survive a white shark attack if he decide to go full 100% on you Tiger shark is easier to defend because they take chunk of your flesh out/will go for your limbs. And their bite are not as smooth as the white shark. Which does give yiu a very small 20 seconds window to actualy defend yourself. If you play your cards well you will survive but have nasty injury that require hospitalization But both are very dangerous cause their bite cut fish in 2 without needing a knife. Human flesh is like jello cake to to them
