She was in court this morning and only got Aggravated Assault. It's clearly attempted murder and should be two counts since the child was in the car and it was pre meditated since they followed him and boxed him in. Sickening behavior and they'll be back on the streets to do it again sadly.

To people complaining that they were "only charged with assault": It's a preliminary charge under which they can arrest them. We have literally no idea what the DA will end up formally charging them with in court, which is usually a lot more severe charges. From what I recall when an officer was fired upon, hit in his legs, and the suspect was 'only' charged with aggravated assault, a few people from Texas explained that the penalty for aggravated assault and attempted murder is the same in Texas, but the threshold for attempted murder is a much higher standard there. In other words, aggravated assault would not only get the same penalty as attempted murder, but is more of a slam dunk case for a prosecutor. Defense lawyers can mess up attempted murder cases for prosecutors, so it is safer for a prosecutor to pursue aggravated assault. Someone from Texas with knowledge of aggravated assault vs. attempted murder should be able to clarify.

Local news is only showing the video of her shooting the second shot as the vehicle at a distance. Having watched this and knowing there was a toddler in the back, she knew exactly what she was doing.

First, disregard "allegedly" as you can clearly see in the video that she ACTUALLY did shoot at the car. For those complaining about no attempted murder charge please understand that TX doesn't do attempted murder. It's simply Agg Assault with a deadly weapon and that is what she is charged with. This reminds me of the story from california where a mom lost her 5 year old from someone raging on her and firing into her car from behind, only hitting the kid. So sad. This could have been a life ending scenario. I’m surprised in TX nobody fired at them.

I had a situation that was a little similar to this one. There was this woman speeding up behind me and I was breaking because we were approaching a red light and she sped around me, stopped in front of me, opened her door and took a long time to step out. I was the only adult in that situation so I drove around her because I was thinking she was getting a gun or some other weapon because she didn't immediately get out. She called me a name, left me alone and waited at the red light. I don't see why she didn't run the red light. It didn't make any sense to me. I have purchased pepper spray and several guns two years ago for hunting and self defense. I hope a never have to use them on someone. In the words of a popular channel about firearms. "It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it." I remember hearing on the news someone say "You never know what people have in their vehicles." which is so true I couldn't have said it any better. I understand sometimes young people are ridiculous and have horrible behavior but this guy is 34 and that woman is 40, no excuses , she's needs not a single day under 20 years, that second shot was more insane than the first one, people have no idea what guns really do, how far and fast they travel the country needs an education class , with tracer bullets so people can really see what bullets do, that second round went into the dealership traveling probably around 900mph , guns are not for road rage or any bs, they're for hunting and home and body protection, not ego maniacs and road rage!

Had a similar situation happen to my family 3 weeks ago but no shots were fired. It's the 1 night I left mine at home and was totally defenseless. Never again will I be caught without it. People are growing ignorant by the minute. Stay safe in this crazy world y'all.

I literally live nearby where that incident occurred. I been living in Spring, TX since 2017, and there’s been criminal activity going on everywhere. I stay vigilant & keep an eye on social media & news sites.

I knew exactly where this was as soon as I saw “palmetto” sign. I see it every day. And folks, this is going on all over Houston every single day. It’s disgusting and horrible. What's crazy is that this happens alot more than we think. Police doesn't do anything about it unless someone is hurt . I was involved in a hit and run and had the license plate from the vehicle and police couldn't even take a report.
