Bob has been friends with Ken for over 40 years, both working for the record store chain Record World. He’s also a musician who has had several pop bands (The Keys) plus his own solo-records. He has a BA in Pop Culture Studies, and has presented lectures in libraries and historical societies on topics ranging from suburban history to cereal boxes, drive-in theatres to Howard Johnson’s Restuarants. An artist for ChromeOrangeMusic, he has appeared with his band on national television and in a comic book!
Bob’s new article explores the many albums released in the U.S. in 1964 exploiting the Beatles name while they were the hottest band in the world. Trying to cash in while the iron was hot, it produced a lot of novelty records, and presented the Beatles music in a number of ways.
