Some people play AC for the parkour, some for the gameplay and some for the stories. I just use AC games as my own personal time machine. And for that I'm very grateful.

I have always played the AC games for this very reason more than for the stories (which I of course enjoy and appreciate), or the gameplay (which I admit is awesome as well). I just adore history, and being able to walk the streets of classical Athens, see Renaissance Rome, visit 16th century Istanbul or climb the Great Pyramids and look out over Egypt, is such a wonderful experience for me.

@@ashwinnmyburgh9364 absolutely agree with you. It’s for me the same reason. When the setting interests me like Rom, Carribean, Greece, Egypt etc. it’s for me the best game to play. Because there are so many details and historical things you can learn from. I can’t wait for Japan with AC Red - something I have been waiting for such a long time. Alongside of that I hope we will see Kassandra back anytime soon, because for me she is my favourite.

yes but as a Greek the people outside of Greece have wrong picture about Greece,greece never had black people specially a lot like this in the game ,the dresses are not anything like this specially zena and hercules series and many other things just dont fit

I could not agree with you more, I will say that the parkour is amazing and so is the gameplay and storyline but using it as a time machine just to see those times even when you didn't live there ever is just fascinating to see it in video game platform. Playing Odyssey was like living in ancient Greece, it was very fun to play and for the Assassin's Creed series overall, it was fun and it will forever be loved by it's fan base. I'm glad I got to play the games.

@@nrthmnwnd I did find the town I still live in. Some places are there but differently named to make it historically accurate. It's not a complete copy of the Greek map because it would be way bigger and some islands are not there. And I also understand a lot of the ancient greek people randomly shout and sea shanties

I felt like the world was a little dry in my opinion. I loved the setting of this game more than Egypt and England. But to me I got bored of the world. I finished the story but only discovered like half the map. Are there any super cool areas off the beaten path? Or is it all pretty much the same? I’m not hating I’m debating on stepping back into this game

I had around 180 hours in just the base game. Sometimes I was just sailing around listening to the shanties. To someone who loves mythology like myself this game is just so good.

I've seen so much criticism for Odyssey due to it not being a "true" Assassin's Creed game. Does it take away from the fact that this is still an incredible game that transports you somewhere else where you can forget about reality for a moment and destress? Nope. One of my Top 5 games I've ever played.

AC Odyssey and AC Origins brought back my childhood. I always loved the ancient history, I used to play hundreds of hours with Pharaoh, Caesar III and Age of Mythology. I just love them. I ve never thought that I will experience this again, esp not in the Assassin's Creed universe. Perhaps Odyssey and Origins gone a little far from the assassins and templars but God, they are beautiful games, with amazing, historically accurate open worlds, and with good stories and characters.

My favorite game ever, I don't think I'll ever tire of playing through it. One time I was in Andros and after uodating the spear, I ran over to the part of the island where you kill that one cultist. Anyway, I looked up and I could see across into Mykonos and was able to see the massive statue of Artemis Agrotera from afar. Beyond beautiful experience. Athens isn't my favorite city but beholding it and the Parthenon and the massive statue of Athena takes my breath away each time. The Heraion in Argos, too, is so beautiful. ugh, what an amazing game, nothing will ever top it in my eyes.

i love hearing sweet little Ikaros calling out in the sky. Did you all know that Senu, Ikaros, and Synin will call out to the player when you're near a location of interest? And when you are near a restricted area or an enemy, merc, or zealot, they'll scream a warning cry. Try it out for yourself the next time you olay one of the games.

My favorite game of all time ❤️ i think that people who trash this game so much are crazy. It’s incredible. The world is mesmerizing, the music is a masterpiece, the whole ambience is just so beautiful. I played over 100 hours but I want to re-play it because now, after I finished it … no game really stands a chance with this beauty. AMAZING!

Nobody gets/can tell you are wrong for liking what you like But you disparaging Assassin's Creed fans for criticizing this game for _not_ being an Assassin's Creed game despite having that as the title. _That_ is the 'crazy' part. It would be akin to FIFA fans (is that still a thing?) disliking a game called "FIFA" but being a Softball/Kicking ball game. You see where I'm going? btw, I'm telling you this _despite_ of me _also_ loving Odyssey, granted not as an "Assassin's Creed" game but as an open-world 'lite' rpg.

I never played an AC game until Origins came to Game Pass last month. I beat the main story and enjoyed it so I decided to buy Odyssey. Odyssey is literally everything I wanted out of a videogame. I love open world games and I love ancient Greece. Everything about this games atmosphere and immersion is incredible.

I have been playing video games and rpgs for decades, and finally decided to give this game a shot even though it had mixed reviews. One of the best games of all time. The history, music, storytelling, combat, and world building are so unbelievably good. Who cares if it’s not like the previous AC titles?! It’s incredible nonetheless.

I was a whole week sick with Covid last month. I got afraid of the dark because I would hallucinate from fever sometimes, so I put this on TV on loop to keep me company, sometimes mute it, sometimes let the music play. I woke up every hour or so, look at the scenery, then got dragged back to sleep again. I'd say that this keep me sane. Feel a lot better now though!

Same here playing AC without being a guy in white robes in some persian country and the game based in ancient greece felt waaay awesome. Kinda sad for mirage but the ancient trilogy had to end i guess. Origins was amazing too i couldnt touch Valhalla after Odyssey an effect that might subside or mybe not... who knows. Odyssey belongs in a category of titles we dont easily come across as gamers... star quality game...just my humble opinion.

I’m completely new to the AC franchise and Odyssey is my first game to play. So far I love it. One of the best games I have ever played. I’m kinda afraid to dig into other AC games now, hearing that Odyssey was nothing like the other AC games. People even hate Odyssey because it was nothing like AC. I can’t really explain why but the occasional sound of Ikaros makes it so much enjoyable. Odyssey is one of those games I really enjoyed but also I’m also deeply critical. Very entertaining ‘mindless’ RPG but held back by bloated design to increase its length. Not really an “Assassin’s Creed”, but a “Tales of the Isu”. I feel this way about all 3 rpg games, and I’ll probably do so as well for Red/Japan when it comes out.

AC:O is for me along with AC:II definitely the best games (played both like five times in a row :-D ) of whole franchise with rad and magical music backround. Greek music is so...positive and divine and Jesper's Kid music in AC:II is my heart matter

One of my first AC´s Platinum on PS4, i totally loved all the 250hrs i had with this masterpiece, i chose Alexios and got the happy ending, without looking how to get, totally based on my choices, and the DLC´s were great too. I really liked exploring the world; as much as i liked the cenographic parkour from the previous ones, being able to look at something and climb it, man its great.

I used to play AC Odyssey because of the Ancient's Greek World experience that is most live than others. And AC Music & Ambience offers this reality closer to truth on how was my ancestors' life during ancient classical years. Amazing study!

What an absolute masterpiece locations wise, also what an epic journey, starting from knocking down a couple lowlifes raggedy thugs to dealing with the Gods of Olympus themselves!

This game was whacky, had great humor, numerous glitches and weird interactions, but goddamn is it the undisputed best AC in my mind.

i love this video, because a there was a week where after a long day of work i'd come home, sit in my chair, play this video and just fall asleep for like 30 minutes. I wish i could describe the amount of relaxation i felt dozing off and waking up again.

When I finished the legacy of the first blade ,I cried really hard Even the neighbours heared me .I never saw a most devoted father than Alexios .Alexios,Ethan ,oogway,po ,shifu teached us how to be a father and how important the family is
