I have a still image of a guitar fretboard and want to overlay a scale that appears to move to the left or right. Would I use a still mask overlay of a scale (bunch of colored dots) with a transparent background, and cause it to appear to move by overlaying it over the fretboard image at different points, at different times? The idea is to show how the scale pattern moves when we change keys or modes. I don't think the animation overlays help much unless I am able to import a custom .mov file. Or something. I am awaiting shipment of Studio 2020 Pro.

Does Corel Video Studio work well with Windows 10? I need better video editing software and like ease of Corel.

Yes -- it does. Make sure you use use the 64-bit version. Very intuitive and easy to use.

Hello, i can't use the "text mask' because in "Mask creator/masking tools", i don't have the text icon and i don't know why ? do i need to install more plugins. thank you.i am using "video studio ultimate 2018 64bits"

@@jeanmimigab yeah you have to pay to get the new stuff. But honestly of all the pay for video editing software. I feel like Corel is the cheapest and has a ton to offer. I am glad you found a solution that works for you. Happy editing

Hi, I've been using corel videostudio 2019 ultimate for almost a year now, and from the beginning the program has been chopped and often crashes. I was looking at the system requirements and my computer should be able to handle the program without any problems. I still use the program and except for this problem I am very satisfied with it. Thanks and goodbye.

The Mask Layout screen is different for version 2021,. No ok button or selections for still and video mask

Where is the mask creator button in Video 2020?

Hi Altavier - it should still be there. You can always right click a clip on an overlay track to open the mask creator. OR on the toolbar it use to show, on the far LEFT you can customize what icons show up in the middle tool bar - perhaps you have Masking unselected.

Can I get serial number because it says I need it and I have disc but it never works

Doesn't work for me. No still/video buttons. Mask doesn't show up when I return to main screen. Don't get it.

VideoStudio is a worst editing Software ever i have used. Befor i was a diehard fan of it. But! They couldn’t upgrade them!!!!!!

Well I have tried following your instructions to a tee 10 different times and your freaking ass software does what it always does,,, " It doesn't work "" ,, . I hate to keep bashing this software but if you want your life to be less frustrating and complicated,, do yourself a favor and don't purchase this software. It is absolutely awful,, nothing ever works as the tutorials say it should work, and all it does is make you hate to open the program.
