Vientiane is the capital and largest city of Laos. Vientiane is divided administratively into 9 cities with a total area of only approx. 3,920 square kilometres and is located on the banks of the Mekong, close to the Thai border.

Came to the US at 5 years old in 79. Growing up and living here. I never had the the urge or interest to go visit my home country of laos. Now being 49 I desperately want to go and explore the country of where I was born.

This is to all my Lao people who immigrated to other countries around the world if you’re thinking about going back Home to the Motherland please do! We are privileged by ending up in the western world and has a golden opportunity to help out our people! Laos is the poorest country in SE Asia and our GDP annually is only at 500mil. Please don’t hesitate and go to Laos spend money there it will circulate and help our people!

I was their for a month 5 years ago. Rode a bike .Looks good and busy. Many vloggers enjoy showing their faces. So I like your style. I hope to return to Laos and ride the new train. Thanks.

The highspeed train was great. Took the train from Vientiane to Luang Prabang this year. I also enjoyed riding bikes occasionally and visiting different places in this city. :-)

Why? Laos has cars parked on the sidewalk. Yes, and a lot.Then people have to walk away on the road.🤔

The old buildings don’t come with parking spaces because they were built when they didn’t have many cars around. That is my guess. So they park their cars on sidewalks.

je cherche à localiser l'ancien lycée français et je n'y arrive pas, même pas l'hôpital mahosot et encore moins l'hôtel lane xang....alors on est dans le caca!!!
