We explore Vientiane Laos and navigate the crazy city madness after lockdown!
Because the provinces have opened, soon we will be travelling again and we plan to go North, we are so excited to see more of Laos!
Next stop, Vang Vieng!

In Vientiane go to the nam ngum resort is the long river u can ride in a long boat down River with food and beer.. is beautiful there..go to South of Lao too as beautiful

Southern of Laos is another great choice to visit there. There are a lot of beautiful waterfalls, forests and temples. Wat Phou ( World Heritage ) is one of the most attractive place you should go.

Thank you for sharing. I was just returning from Vientiane, Laos from my summer vacation last August 2019. I miss Vientiane very much. I hope I can go back to visit Vientiane again soon. I love going shopping at the ຕະຫຼາດເຊົ້າ Tat Lat Xao and the ITECC Center. Hangout at the Patuxai Monument, Chao Anouvong Park and Mekong River Night markets. I am glad Vientiane is back to normal.

When I first traveled to Laos I didn't know that there was a dress code before entering to the temples. But Laos was very beautiful and I love vangvieng

Oh wow, I didnt see this temple while I was there. There is a big orchid nursery somewhere in Oudamsay that was on my list of places to see in Laos before the lockdowns started. Thats something I would line to see. Great to see you are still in Laos.

Nice video. I was working in Korea and came here on vacation in March 2006. I went back to Korea to finish my contract and moved to Laos 5 months later in August. I've been here ever since. Funny, I've never considered That Luang the northern part of the city :-).

I would love and highly recommend you to a garden called Pheuksa Garden where you can enjoy the camping, how peacefull and many interesting activities there. Actually, I love how friendly and such caring manager is and so do the staffs. I've got so much fun. It worth it. My favourite moments of all were playing in the water garden and dancing around fire with my friends.

Try to visit Tha Heua on your way back from Vang Vieng. Most beautiful! There is a quite expensive Resort at a sea, but a cheaper Reggae Lounge is close to it. Enjoy your travels! ( Sanctuary Nam Ngum Beach Resort was the Name - worth every penny)

A puzzle for you guys. See if you can get to what was, in the early 1970's, the airport with the most air movements per day in the whole world. Head towards the Plain of Jars and you'll be on the right track. The single runway is still there and a small museum to the hero of the Laotian Hmong people. You want adventure, go find where adventure was invented.

We are here till thursday or friday! 🙂 We are staying in magic monkey garden bungalow and we would recommend it, amazing views and a pool and just 5 minute walk out the centre so it's peaceful!

That monument on the main drag is cool. You can walk up the steps to the top and take some cool picks. Also is a gift shop on the upper floor. Again worth a visit if one has the time. The Americans gave the Laotians a bunch of money to build an airport but the Laotians built that monument instead.

What do you see in Laos? Has the country developed? Growth What is the road? Are food products expensive?

Well they are currently building a speed railway through vang vieng that goes from china to thailand, this is destroying the nature and it will change a lot of places here in laos and there probably will be more tourism in these places in the future because of this. Food is a bit more expensive here than in the surrounding countries. The roads are pretty bad but there is a lot of work happening on them at the moment!

If you guys want to escape from the insane traffic, come visit paksan district. 3hours away from VTE to the south by bus. Here you can spend your slow life.

We came to Laos in February before the pandemic was a problem. At the moment Laos is closed for tourists! It may be a few months before they re-open the borders. I hope you will get to visit your grandma soon though!

Hi you should go down south to pakse Champa sak to check out wat poo temple which locate in Champa sak city and go check out Pak song which is not to far away from Champa sak paksong has a coffee farms there if you are a coffee Fan's plus paksong also has a very nice water fall there you can enjoying good luck on your trips

There are quite a few if you look online and we have seen signs around the city! Some can be quite expensive though

Very easy to find cheap house sharing starting from 200$ a month. My friends rent in front of BFL headquarter you can't miss it. try Facebook group Vientiane social

How does Veintaine compare to London? The food the people and the ease of getting around? The cost of living?

Hey there, Vientiane is incomparable to London! Two totally different places, London is much more diverse and the population is millions, whereas vientiane is not that big for a capital and the population is small. Cost of living is a lot cheaper because it's south east asia and London is London 😅

That traffic is bad when I go to Vientiane I stay with my uncle and he has many cars and tells me if I’m bored just drive one of the cars somewhere, I just tell him no thanks uncle we drive on the other side of the road where I’m from and if I was to have an accident they would try and get as much money as they can being a foreigner . I’m class as a foreigner even though I was born there and I left Laos many years now.
