Sadly Vietcong Purple Haze (PS2 port) didn't received great words, and I can find it really cheaply, but worth the try imo. At least most of those who played it loved it.

@@Bruhidk8835 Developers had only about 14 months to finish game, so it´s mirracle they finished that game in time. Publisher forced them to finish game in very short time with stupid demands to create game with fights in town. Vietcong 2 is bad because of the publisher, it wasn´t fault of developers from Pterodon. Still better than today games like CALL OF SHIT.

I remember when the weapons trailer for Vietcong 2 was released, back in... August or September 2005, shortly before the demo. I was really into guns in those days, so I was practically drooling when I saw the weapons list (it was rare to see an FPS with SO many guns in that age. And a lot of them were a rarity in videogames, like the FAL. Remember: this was before Far Cry 2, Modern Warfare or STALKER). I didn't like the game as much as I enjoyed the first one... but it's a good memory. Different times, different life...

the Sterling sound is ripped directly from Half-Life 2. it was a stock sound effect, but Half-Life 2 had a specific amplification and a metallic grind to it, which are present on the one from Vietcong 2. I also noticed the PPSh-41 had the MP40 sound from Medal of Honor: Allied Assault.

noooo we didn´t And i am pretty sure cause i was doing those animations, and i was very close to the Pip¨who did those those sound effect. to be real, we spend a lit of time in museums, and war shows just for recording those. And fact that they seems simillar to half life? they was recordings the exact sound earlier. hmm the reloading of a guns just sound simillar, and there is nothing else to say. but actually thank you. it seems that we have done nice job, when you are comparing VC to HL.. many greetings...
