Love your bargaining videos, I watched a bunch of them prior to my Vietnam trip and I had tons of fun bargaining in Da Nang. As for that dude who tried to scam you, I would have taken back all my money the second I realized he tried to pull that off. No business or respect for those trying to scam foreigners.

Love watching your videos, my wife HATES haggling, but I love trying it. My problem is getting anything in my size, especially shoes/trainers/sneakers. Went to Egypt many years ago and by the time I had been into 2/3 shops, every seller knew me and stopped asking me into their shops cos they all knew they wouldn't have my size!!

in the South of Vietnam you can haggle but they still laugh and laugh, but in northern Vietnam near the Chinese border they are very rude and unapproachable, if you haggle don't buy and leave they will cursing you in Vietnamese, I am a Saigonese when I go to the North of Hanoi city, I am also discriminated against, simply Southern people are gentle and funny, Northern people are as difficult as China, we hate China Country
