Thanks. In 1970, as a young GI, I was a monthly currier for our HQ command. I’d fly down to Saigon on Friday, giving me the whole weekend to see the city. It was wartime, so there were curfews and security issues. Otherwise, it was a bustling city with large hotels and many bars. I stayed at the American Hotel. A large five star establishment. On Monday I’d catch a ride to Long Bin to conduct my business, then fly back to QuiNhon that afternoon. Got myself into trouble on my first visit, not realizing the 10:00 curfew had hit. Other than that, if your careful and stick with a partner or two, you’ll be okay. Otherwise, a lone tourist could be easy bait for the Cowboys and fraudsters. Like Any big city, it takes all kinds to make things hum. Great memories.

BKK112 good to see you back. I have stayed at Gia Vien based on your previous videos and it is a good value and location place to be. The hotel on the corner The Dragon Inn was good also but the night staff were a bit shady, so I stopped going there. Must get back to HSM, BKK and Pattaya. My 3 favourite spots on earth. Keep the vloggs coming, even though they are much more chilled out than your pre covid ones. I understand the issues and I wish all the best. I am a follower of your channel for life.😉

I bet that residence at around 2:25, is quite the castle on the inside. In Chinatown here in SF, Ca., there are some huge single residences above the shops. Most tourists and other people never look up. Thank you for showing us all of these interesting sites. Cheers.

@@bkk1126 if you love music or is a party animal then bui vien st is perfect for you i try to stay nearby and for my next trip I am staying on de tahm st, so about a 2mins walk to bui vien st and same distance for pham ngu lao also the taka shopping plaza is only 3 mins walk. if you get the rooms at the back the noise coming out of bu vien st is very little so you be OK

Taken from the schengenvisainfo website "The UK is a country in the continent of Europe, but it’s not a part of the EU any longer". As you smart guys can see, UK is in the European continent, it's just not part of EU anymore because of Brexit, but these are 2 different things. I said Europe exactly because I didn't know where bkk12 was from. Also, I live in Portugal.

If you order Western breakfast in Vietnam, It's always costly more than your country, because we have to import abroad ingredients. Try some local food if you can.

everywhere dude, even in D1, an expensive bowl of Pho is $5 and coffee is $3. But local can give you direction to great food places for half the price.

It’s not 1985 bro. It’s really no where in the open. I am sure some old grandma from the 1950 has a backyard bbq where you can enjoy it. Most of the younger generation have dogs as family pets and frown down on that behavior.

this is the country american wasted all those lives and tore our country apart for. we stuck our noses in a civil war that we had no business being there. now we build factories there because they pay people cheap wages and everything is great. it looks like they have more harmony there than we do here. how do the american families feel who lost there sons for nothing.
