8:15, most Pho in Canada, and the U.S. are more southern Vietnamese style and have richer broths because most of the Vietnamese people there came from South Vietnam. South Vietnamese style Pho usually has a richer broth that's less clear and sometimes more sweet/salty than northern Vietnamese pho. Pho in the north is usually more clear and light, especially in Hanoi. South Korea, and Germany have a lot of Vietnamese ppl from the north so most Vietnamese food there have more northern flavors btw

Not usually richer, southern ppl just love to add alot of sweet herbs that give off that fake "rich" taste. Try northen Pho and you'll think twice!

@@ilovemybeary2 Then you have probably never tried a good Phở restaurant in Ha Noi. The blandness you say comes from the stew simmering for many hours over low heat, while richness you want comes from the additives

Studying abroad is a once in a lifetime experience and you should be travelling and experiencing as much as you can. You’ll remember these trips for a lifetime, way more than the actual “school” part. People saying you shouldn’t probably don’t understand the point-expanding horizons and seeing new cultures is learning too! Love the vlogs!

its my 1st time watching your video but. OMG you are literally the 1st tourist that did everything i would recommend when visiting HN (im hanoian btw) . Even the Ha Long bay and Ninh Binh tour, they are even my type of traveling, too. All the choice of food are correct ( except the last one, i dont like that either) bc i know these food are just a great start to try Vietnamese food, they are easy and nice to try. IF YOU GONNA VISIT VIETNAM SOON, PLEASE DO IT LIKE HER! i approved!!!
