World building as a way to have a person become invested is how businesses do it. We all love lore whether we knew it or not. I hadn't related it to sports, and I tried so often to get into sports for the sake of my partner, and it never worked. Now i know why. They were laundry, and laundry stresses me out ❤

A great term for that explanation Kash is visual horizons. Analogous to the curvature of the earth concept.

I personally equate the pocket book to the idea of a hard core or causal player. one is a mindset/time allotment where as the other is just based on financial circumstance born or self-made.

A note on SWG, it wasnt just the Force Sensitives that they screwed. I never got that far myself. I played that game for the experience of being the character I was. I was a creature handler/ bio-engineer and I had these powerful beasts wandering these beautiful planets together. Then all my high level creatures were dropped to level 10, and I couldn't even step out of a safe zone. Sony basically deleted that character. I've been searching ever since for a similar experience!
