My name is Michael Hickox. I create stop motion videos of various themes, but all made from LEGO and similar brand toys. I try to make my videos universal, with a wide range of cultures and ages in mind. Please take a look around, watch some videos, and enjoy the Lego community.

I have a question, Why did you switch KZfaq Channels about 9 years ago? Was it due to Technical/Copyright issues etc.?

I have 3 three questions 1. Would you make a couple of dinosaur videos 2. If so, would you use the Jurassic Park dinosaur sound effects 3. Would you make a Godzilla or King Kong video, if so would you use their sound effects (Godzilla 2014)

1. I only have off-brand dinosaurs, haha. The only reason I haven't done a dino video is that the story would be fairly predictable. 2. I always try to find my own sounds. I don't want to use movie sound effects either in case copyrights are in place. 3. I would probably do a Godzilla video, but it would be difficult to make him....

Have you considered making an animation tutorial series teaching viewers tricks and techniques to improve animation? This could also be considered like a class showing how to get started with stop motion.

How about you film yourself animating and editing your videos, and after you post the finished video, you post the behind the scenes footage. Also, thanks for answering my questions and congrats on 1 million subs!

Do you plan on making grittier and more serious brickfilms based around intense and deep storylines and a lot of fight sequences with potentially gory fight scenes? EDIT: if you do this, please use normal flesh tone minifgure parts; it makes it seem more movie-like

Thanks! The pizza delivery series was just a simple joke in the beginning, but I thought it would be funnier to get more and more out of control. When I finish a video, I think of other things that could have happened... and that usually turns into the next one

I don't think I have anything too uncommon. The only things odd I may have would be some 90's sets, but that's just due to age.

The first serious time was in 2005. I got a digital camera for my birthday and experimented with every type of video I could.

The longest video is Pizza Delivery 6, I believe. It's over 7 minutes in total. I also have over 20 base plates. Some are old and dirty though...

Wow. My longest video was Twenty-somthing minutes long. But then again, I was new to animation, and the people were in the same pose for like... five minutes. Anyway, do you ever use lego tape? I have some and they are useful. You should try it.

What do you do to see that it has francophones (france, belgium, quebec and / or switzerland) who watch your videos, even if they do not know well (or little) English ? My question wasn’t answered :( . Do you plan on collaborating with more youtubers? Like other big youtubers? Also for tutorial videos, what you could do is have an Instagram page or Snapchat of behind the scenes, do not necessarily videos but it shows what you do and you can do brief explanations. That might accommodate the behind the scenes and not take away from the main videos

I was a fan of cartoons, that's the main reason. I didn't know how to create videos in other ways, so I started learning stop motion.

Congratulations on 10 years and over 1M subscribers. That's awesome! Your channel is honestly one of the reasons I wanted to start making stop motion videos with my son so thanks for the inspiration. I didn't realize you were from Ohio. We're from Michigan so we're practically neighbors! LOL! Nice job answering all of these questions. My favorite part was all of the LEGO instructions that just kept flying into the scene and all of the BTS footage. Keep up the great work and we look forward to Pizza Delivery 8 in the summer of 2019.
