Hugely helpful and well presented! I am a noob at this stuff but I like to dig in deep before I try something. I am restoring a car and inherited all the audio equipment still in boxes from the former owner. A 4 channel amp and 6 speakers. I am excited to get the car back from paint so I can get it on the road with some sweet (and loud) music. Thanks dude!

@@210Designs good morning bro this is complicated I was reading something said if I ran the 2 eight ohm speakers in parallel they come down to four ohms minimum my app is 2 on stable it can take 4 Ohms well I'm confused is the two 5.25 four ohms and the four tweeters 4 Ohms one pair of 60 watts RMS the other pair 80 watts RMS how do I configure this down at 2 ohms 4 x 400 at 4ohms 4x200 4ohms bridge 200x8 amp specs. @210Designs
@210Designs Жыл бұрын
@@ronniesearcy8712 I hear ya man, but don’t get frustrated or lost in the rms power rating of the amp. Your main concern is keeping the amp ohm loads within its operating ranges between 2ohm to 4ohms 👊🏽 When you pair & parallel each 5-1/4” and tweet together, you’ll be at 2ohms each channel 1 & 2 (400rms). Then when you parallel & pair the 6-1/2” 8ohm speakers you’ll be at 4ohm “bridged” at the amp on channels 3/4 (800rms). *Now keep in mind….these amps will never put out this much power, so you’ll be fine. Just adjust the gains and crossovers accordingly.

So, I have a question. On normal 2-way component setups, where you Y split the line to power the tweeter and mid on one channel, does that drop the ohm load or no? And, if I wanted to drive 2 mids and 2 tweeters on said channel, should I series the tweets to the mids, then parallel each pair to each other, or parallel the tweets to their mids, then series the pair?
@kylepowell9829
@kylepowell9829 3 жыл бұрын
Would you be able to add tweeters onto each channel to go along with the way you wired it. For example: front doors have two loud speakers and a tweeter, and the rear doors have a loud speaker and a tweeter? Any ideas on the wiring setup?
@210Designs
@210Designs 3 жыл бұрын
Yes this is possible as well. There’s several different ways to wire up your vocals. All depends on the quantity, ohm load of the speakers and final ohm load at the amp. *When you wire tweets & speakers together on the same channel, I would recommend using a crossover on the tweets. Or you will be getting lower ranges than they are designed to handle and miss out on a lot 🤙🏽 This is why I recommend separating them. Tweets on one set of channels and mids on another. Most amps have separate crossovers. Example: 4ch: (channels 1/2 & channels 3/4) and this makes it a lot easier. If you need more help, shoot me an email. bj.hammon@yahoo.com 🤙🏽

@210Designs
@210Designs 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you sir and yes you can. Keep in mind, most head units are 20-22 watts rms. So as you split the power for each channel, you will be cutting it in half. I would advise you get a multi-meter so you can keep the final impedance load, above 2ohms. Let me know if you need anything else 👌🏽

I have a question, could I wire a pair of component speakers (2 6x9 and tweeters) and a pair of 2 way speakers (all 4ohms) all in a 4 channel amp? If so, should I do the component speakers in a series or parallel? Or should I do different ones on the same channel?
@210Designs
@210Designs 3 жыл бұрын
Yes you can, but you have multiple options on how you can wire them. If your using the amp crossover, you may want to have the components on the same two channels (1&2), then the tweets on the other two (3&4). That way the crossovers will be easier to set. Hope I understood your question. (2-6x9), (2-tweets) & (2-two way speakers). If not, get me corrected total and re-work it ✌🏽

How do you wire 4 speakers and 4 tweeters to a 4 channel? Speakers are all 4 ohm and I'm waiting to order the tweeters until I know how im gonna wire them and what ohm tweeters I need to get.
@210Designs
@210Designs 2 жыл бұрын
Amante 🤝 I’d look for 4ohm tweets to keep everything simple when wiring. I’ll give you a couple different ways you can do this, both are safe for a 4 channel amp. 1st way: You can keep the mids and tweets separate. Wiring them in pairs having (2) speakers per channel and the same for the tweets. Wiring (2) speakers together in parallel (++/- -) giving you a final ohm load of 2ohms per pair, going to each channel at the amp. Then set your crossovers to hi pass and adjust accordingly. 2nd way: Wire a mid and tweeter together (++/- -) for the same 2ohm load at each channel at the amp. *You will need a bass blocker in-line with the tweeter. Most tweeters come with them, to prevent them from playing the lower frequencies. Then set the amp crossovers to hi pass and adjust accordingly. Hope this helps bro 👌🏽 Thanks for watching and the question.

Yessir, he has an older suburban. Front doors, rear doors and over/head cargo area. I used my speakers, just as an example. They are the same ohm load and all single voice coils like his. Basically the same principles will apply, when using tweets in the dash or A- pillars. Just need to know how separate at the amp, if not using an external crossover. Thanks
@210Designs
@210Designs 2 жыл бұрын
I’m sure it can be done, I’ll just have to research that amp and run some numbers, based on quantity of speakers and ohm loads. * Those8 ohm horns should really be on a channel by themselves. When wiring multiple speakers/subs together you really want them to be the same ohm loads. I’ll get back with ya 👌🏽
@210Designs
@210Designs 2 жыл бұрын
Based on the speakers and amps listed, here’s a couple of options you can try: RF400.4 Wire (2) M2-6.5s together in parallel to get a 2ohm load on channel 1 = 100 watts total or 50 watts each speaker Wire (2) M2-6.5s together parallel to get a 2ohm load to channel 2 = 100 watts total or 50 watts each speaker Wire (1) 4 ohm super tweet to channel 3 = 50 watts Wire (1) 4 ohm super tweet to channel 4 = 50 watts Wire (1) 8 ohm horn to a channel on the head unit for deck power Wire (1) 8 ohm horn to a channel on the head-unit for deck power RF800.4 *(can be wired the same as the 400.4 and just double the rms power) or: Wire (2) M2-6.5s and (1) super tweet w/bass blocker together in parallel to get a 1.34ohms load on channel 1 = 200 watts total or 66 watts each speaker Wire (2) M2-6.5s and (1) super tweet w/bass blocker together in parallel to get a 1.34ohms load to channel 2 = 200 watts total or 66 watts each speaker Wire (2) 8 ohm horns together in parallel to get 4ohms and bridge on channels 3 and 4 to get 300 rms total or 150 rms to each tweet. Hope that helps bro 😅 👌🏽

With this setup will the 2 cargo speakers have a different power output than the ones in the doors. Meaning will they get more power going to them than the doors because you wired the doors together or is it all still distributed equally?
@210Designs
@210Designs Жыл бұрын
Yes, if the rear cargo speakers are wired separately each will receive more power. *Also the ohm load of each speaker will play a factor of power received. If (2) the speakers are wired together, they are going to split to total rms power of the channel on the amp. **final ohm load of the combined speakers will determine how much power will be split. Hope that helps, if not I’ll try and break it down better. If I know your setup, I can be more accurate 🤙🏽

What’s up Ronnie 🤙🏽 In my opinion, you can run them two different ways for parallel wiring. Most 4channels also have a 2ohm rating as well. If yours doesn’t, please confirm first. I’m assuming each door will have a tweeter. Option 1: *Need bass blockers for the tweets. Each speaker/tweeter wired in parallel: 2ohm final load at each amp channel. Driver’s front: 5-1/4” and tweet (CH1) Passenger’s front: 5-1/4” and tweet(CH2) Rear driver’s: 6-1/2 and tweet(CH3) Rear passenger’s: 6-1/2” and tweet(CH4) Option 2: Each channel will see 2ohms at the amp. *bass blockers optional based on crossovers used. (amp, external or headunit) set accordingly. Driver/passenger front: 5-1/4”s (CH1) Driver/passenger rear: 6-1/2”s (CH2) Driver/Passenger front: tweets (CH3) Driver/passenger rear: tweets (CH4)

@@210Designs how are you the amplifier is a massive tx48 1600 and it is 2 on stable what I'm trying to do is for motorcycle application cuz it says you can use for motorcycles boats or cars the speakers are prvs 225 Watts RMS and the Rears are 6.5 neodymium 200 W RMS skar audio what's the best way to use up the channels so I can put all four speakers and line the four tweeters and with them two for the front and two for the rear tweet is a prv and the scar TS 1000 thank you

@@ronniesearcy8712 Yes, I’m familiar with that amp. Manufacture states 400.4 @ 2ohms per channel. The 2 different wiring options will work, just depends if your wanting to pair each of the mids together or pair a mid/tweet together. You’ll get the same power at the amp either way. Only differences will be how that power is split and how it will effect the fading, If it were my install, I’d pair a mid/tweet together, to get more power coming through and install bass blockers on each tweeter and run it.

@@210Designs okay I'm going to try that option run the fronts with tweeters and the Rears between in parallel I was thinking if I use a y splitter I can put two speakers ch1 2 ch2 that would cover four and still two channels left three and four what do you think too much thank you for the input then I was wondering c h three and four for small sub 6.5 sub being greedy LOL and the speakers and tweeters are all four ohms good thank you for your time

@210Designs Жыл бұрын
@@ronniesearcy8712 You can do that as well. Y-splitters to cover channels 1/2. Keep in mind you’ll steadily be dividing power to the speakers 👌🏽 which can mean more gain which equals more heat and possible clipping. But definitely play with it and see how everything works bro.

Hey there, I'm trying to run this setup on my Harley w/2 fairing speakers, 2 lower fairing speakers and 2 saddlebag speakers. Rockford Fosgate TMS65 x2, PPS4-6 x2, and TMS69 or PPS4-8 x2. Not sure what the best class D amp would be for this setup. any recommendations? Thanks, KD @ "kwd@cableone.net"
