The fact that some of the visual assets (the road signs, for example) were even pulled from Underground 2 of all games shows just how much of a masterpiece this is.

To me this looks like they took the gameplay, cars and customizations from Carbon, imported them on the Most Wanted map and engine, jumbled them together and then, optimized it to work on the Wii.

The most broken version of Undercover, and it somehow is the most fun one. Really can't hate on this game 😅

Fun fact: it is the most wanted map with the 3 "districts" that you would unlocked in OG most wanted separated by long highways. They love using the Most Wanted maps as they mirrored too in Carbon: Own the City

This was also the version for PS2 and it was where I first played Undercover. Also, a tip for when the heat level gets really high in pursuits: Head to the bridge on the right side of the screen. The jump will clear you from the cops.

The ps2/Wii versions were made by Exient Entertainment. Also WE DON'T PLAY AS THE OLD MAN! We play as a mute protagonist that is only seen in busted cutscenes.

Finally! Playing my Childhood NFS, this was actually pretty good one, I remember I first met this version of this game and the got to meet the PS3/PC version and ironically, I enjoyed this one the most

The wii version and the ps2 version is basically the same thing, but the ps2 one is better in my opinion . It has less glitches and it feels like it was completed compared to this version (aka the the M3 livery on the Porsche and so on). Maybe you should try it out?

This is the best game I had for Wii. It really was not the same Game that was on the PS3. But hey, it was very well developed (For a Wii) it has an awesome playlist, good challenges, decent driving physics and an actual storyline. Thanks for playing this masterpiece, brought so many memories.

It's the same as PS2 undercover, that's why they had to scale the graphics and map down to MW05 levels. Also this wasn't done by BlackBox. it was done by Exient, who also made Carbon and Prostreet for the DS and HP2010 for the Wii

Remember playing this on my friends WII way back! Fondly remember it actually, even though MW and Underground2 on my PS2 are still my favs. Also this game is single-handedly to blame for half of my music taste. Didn’t know of Justice-Genesis but this game made me fall in love with the band!

It's literally Carbon, it has the exact same cars, the same modifications and the same menu style, the devs modified Carbon PS2 and added Most Wanted's map, that's why you can see the M3 GTR's livery on the 911 GT2 since the names in the files are the same "Hero"

This is the same as the PS2 version. When I played my Wii copy, i used the Wheel format. It doesn't really work with the Wii port of Carbon. The Wii also got its own version of The Run along with the 3DS, and they even feature some remixes of Rom Di Prisco's music, though I think the 3DS version of The Run is better than the Wii version in terms of game control.

This is unironically the best version of undercover I've played, the physics are actually great, while on the main version it slows you down randomly

I had the ps2 version of this game and remember using the old bridge to escape the cops and to cheese outrun events. Fun times

The Wii/PS2 version of NFS Undercover uses the 2005 Engine like MW05/Carbon/Prostreet, and uses an inverted, edited and cut out map of Rockport city to mimic the '08 PS3/X360/PC version. This was done because the older consoles couldn't handle the new 2008 Engine of the newer game.

My first ever NFS game, so many good memories

I played this PS2 version, and honestly, it was one of my favorite NFSs, because it is a junction of MW + Carbon with an interesting plot, I think this version is much better than the main PS3/X360 version (which is horrible).

We are not that old man, that is Lt. Keller, he is our superior who barely gives a fuck as to what we do. And really only had dialogue outside of cutscenes in the final two missions of the PC and console versions of the game and its because he knows you're innocent to what the woman had gotten the cops to believe you did.

Pro Tip: The Charger in this game is busted. Not only stupid fast but can actually turn with tuning. It can literally carry you to almost the end of the game.

This was a bunch of fun to watch! Definitely need a let's play of this game!

This was my first ever racing game I got on PS2 that got me hooked on NFS, it was the final classic style Need For Speed made by Black Box, hope to see a remaster

This version of Undercover was produced by Exient Entertainment under contract by EA and with love from Black Box. Black Box solely focused on the nextgen platforms at the time (PS3,X360,PC) and the majority of the features that were new in the nextgen version were unable to be brought over to the PS2 and Wii version (cuz the OG Xbox and Gamecube were practically dead by then). The Wii was a good platform to release the game on despite its faults due to large player base the console got even in its early years. Exient took the map and engine of NFS:MW (2005) (technically Carbon and ProStreet too) and tweaked it a bit to save costs since the budget for these versions was clearly lower and car models were less detailed than the previous titles on the Wii or PS2. Personally, I don't mind either version of the game, but I can see where other people get their takes from. Extra info for those who didn't know.

I actually had a blast playing this Wii version of Undercover. I think the handling is better, plus there is no weird speed limit on any car. Tune the transmission and engine however you want and you can see what top speed is achievable. My favorite car is the Dodge Viper, which is also the fastest car in this game, followed closely by the Koenigsegg CCX. Easily win every race in both cars

I am genuinely surprised Theo said nothing about that m3 livery on the Porsche in video, especially since it does not even properly fit the car lol

You could also use a GameCube controller instead of the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk combo. That’s how I played it.

I hope they bring the start/finish flares in the New NFS that’s coming. Heat had them at the start but would make the despawn on circuit events and not have any in the sprint events at the finish

I had soo much fun with this on ps2..... And imo it's better then the pc version.

You can use a GameCube controller if your WiFi console has a the plug in areas on the side. It makes the game experience much better than using nunchuck. I use a wheel for a more realistic feel.

I remember playing this on my Wii a long time ago and realizing that it wasn’t the full HD version. I eventually got the HD version years later and actually being disappointed that I had more fun with the Wii version. I also often used the most wanted final jump to escape the cops too since the cops couldn’t jump the bridge

The PS2 (and it seems the wii for some reason) build of Undercover was the best build of it, the later release of the PS3/PC just didn't hold up compared to it's older counterpart. Which is why anytime I say the Undercover was an amazing game, I mean the PS2 build. The new one wasn't horrible but it had its issues for sure and wasn't as good as the old one.

Theo! You can just use controller to play the game, it will detect is a gamecube controller if you are using emulation (if you are using dolphin emulator ofc)

Well, I know some people can't get enough on NFS Most Wanted and there you have it: NFS Most Wanted II for PS2 and Wii baby. I just played this one already on my phone via AetherSX2 and there were couple more glitches such as on a checkpoint race, when you reach the point, the "next checkpoint" message didn't show up but a few seconds later, it finally showed up. Holy crap on that. This is still okay but the Wii one makes me laugh. Why Razor let her wife drove a car with the same livery? Chau Wu, Chase Linh and Darius must been wondering why Razor's wife were existed in this game lol 😂🤔

Pantz the cutscenes in nfs undercover are viewed in a first person perspective. (you are the camera) the "old man" in the cutscene is maggie q's character's superior or something..they are talking bout you, hence the camera looks and pointing at the camera.

with this version of the game it had a game mode in 2 player where one can play as a racer and the other as a cop and the cop had to bust the other player

This game was a blast on PS2, it's not perfect, but nothing if not a great time. If you get to heat level 5 the police race around free roam at literal thousands of MPH, you should definitely do a series on this one There's also a really fun police mode that was the best for earning money. Highly recommend this game it was overlooked massively

This is the version of Undercover I grew up with, not on Wii, but PS2 (same game, slightly better graphics). I was always confused when people hated on Undercover because I always thought it was a great game, not knowing I was playing a totally different version than everyone else.
