Wonderful interview.. finally Bharadwaj sir was convinced by Vignesh to watch the movie again.. Vignesh accepted the flaws & said it was taken for entertainment sake.. found that the youngsters have enjoyed the movie. Actually, Vignesh 's statement about today generation is very true..it is very common now.. actually I have seen like this in other language films.

BR is asking tough questions.. and Vignesh answered it with awesome examples - fried snacks and enroute to Delhi... Paavam BR Vignesh Shivan.. he has done the movie in his style and if it did not work for you., It's ok.. the questions can be little less intense.. always your questions are on screen writing and how the director perceived the scene.. you can ask these questions, but it's repeating in all of your interviews recently.. and for light hearted movie like this, the questions can also be on a lighter note.. BTW BR- great fan of your work.. just wanted to comment and tell my views especially for this interview and shared my views.. 🙏

What a brilliant interview....so good to hear about Vignesh Shivan's vision of the film. Please do a similar interview with Nelson, post Beast release....given your criticism of the film....I think his vision would be similar...to provide entertainment to the viewer. Critics like you tend to forget that when you review the films

Dear LK, Beast was barely watchable even as a no-brainer. All three recent(KGF2, RRR and Bheeshma Parvam) commercially packaged movies with larger than life stars yes, even bigger than Vijay were all sensibly done, even ticking plot intrigue boxes at times. Beast was truly unwatchable and was completely botched in absolutely every regard. Terrible excuse for even the bare minimum of a movie. Movie reviewers bashing the movie is totally justified, let alone the audience.

Agree Vasanth, with Vignesh and Nelson, with entertainment quotient being primary, i think it should still be presented in a way where audience can enjoy the movie without the directors perspective. That’s where the whole criticism comes in.. difference between writing and filming..

😂. What perception one can have for beast? The problem in beast is " The story ended in interval block itself" They didn't choose the villain properly and powerful. Hope he completes perfectly in jailer ❤

Samantha is an extraordinary performer! She has done romantic movies like Ye maaye chesave & Neethane en Ponvasantham; Comedy in Oh baby; Action in Family man; Never got afraid to play a supporting role in Mahanati knowing that another heroine will play the lead role. Does intresting & daring characters like in Super deluxe! And now playing a Princess in Shakuntalam!! The list just goes on for SAMANTHA! EPITOME of VERSATALITY & HARDWORK❤️💯

It is a great effort from both Nayan and Sam, and I recommend this film to everyone who can actually take a joke AND has a sense of humor, especially those who likes the type of humor. The movie deserves a strong 7 out of 10.

Wikki is completely in his elements in this. He is like new age 'Parthiban' with his wordplays and analogies. The 'deep fried snacks' thing caught BR off guard and I am sure he would revisit the film with a different mindset now

How can he be a film maker and say he doesn't understand what sexism or feminism is? And he somehow seems to say he would rather keep his writing sexist and mysogynist if it were to keep the entertainment quotient higher? That's obnoxious! What a person wants to be entertained says a lot about them. Someone laughing at a rape joke or a homophobic joke and staying it doesn't feel wrong as long as they feel humored by it is sick and ignorant as fuck! No wonder his films, starting from Poda Podi especially have been extremely regressive, misogynist, and shallow as fuck. Read books, get some sense into that thick head of yours before you call yourself a film maker dude! Understand sensibilities, understand opression and stop making content that perpetrates it.

The reason by Wikki for kanmani khatija not scolding or feeling cheated and willing to continue their love itself tells they just want some reason to connect to the second half . As he said the flavour of movie changes, and everything is taken granted which becomes the problem of movie ....

Khatija's character was poorly written . The movie is like as separate scenes some r enjoyable but it's confusing wat exactly they wanted to say

Is rambo character apologetic about his two timing attitude , does he feel it within himself or talk about it kanmani or khatija? Is he shown feeling bad about it ? If atleast that happens then it definitely makes the character better .

@@radhikarb7047 Like BR mentioned in his review of the film, he does feel bad, he does apologize to them profusely...but the film does not paint him as the culprit. It humanizes his dilemma by presenting it through the bad luck angle. He had no intention to cheat, but just felt he was being given what the universe owed him for a long long time, so he just goes with the flow.

Final comments of BR sir is exactly what i felt. Hey ivlo explanation ku apram, may be indha padatha revisit panlaamonnu :). But enna poruthavaraikkum, no movie or any craft has to be explained for it to be understood better, then there is some flaw in the way it was presented despite the best of intentions. Nevertheless a good attempt with 2nd half trying hard to drag the audience to that climax.

As a firm believer that polyamory is not wrong and doesn't need so much justification to right it, KRK was a disappointment in it's attempt to escape from concepts of digamy and such. But after watching this interview, I'm now better able to accept and respect the standpoint from which Vignesh has looked at this whole dynamic, however contrasting it is from mine! IMO this is what an interview should bring to us ; it simply needs to shine light on the creator's thought process instead of criticizing and cancelling films on basis of political correctness! In the end, art is for all :) Thanks for that BR!

Great visualization - the outcome was def a success Vignesh Sivam. Portrayed 2 strong lovable women in love with another lovable man. No manipulation - no toxic behavior. Much needed!!! This is the reality in a lot of situations.

its a very interesting concept vignesh shivan has tried to do.. climax scene dialogues will hit you like anything when it comes to life in general.. not just love.. in fact those dialogues in climax fully justify movie title.. two pretty heroines.. good music.. enjoyable movie... only thing i felt is it could have been little shorter.. it is almost 2 hrs 40 min.. should have tried to get it to 2 hr.. 20 min range

I think the movie has a ton of flaws but the conviction of Wikki (even within this interview) makes the film still enjoyable and likable. He believes in the story and is passionate about it. You can see it throughout the film.

For me the biggest flaw of this movie is the song placement of Rendu Kaadhal and Two Two Two. Rendu Kaadhal is supposed to be a very emotional and serious song but about 1 or 2 minutes after the song finishes, the tone shifts to comedy which for me felt too soon and then, slightly after that was the Two Two Two song. For me Vignesh, could have still made the same movie but slightly more convincing if he altered the song placements. For me every song right up to Azha Thonudhe was good, then after it should have been: Two Two Two (just after the interval scene) ➡️ Title Song ➡️ Rendu Kaadhal

Khatija was compelled to marry sreeshanth's character because of his financial help to khatija's father (which means khatija's father have poor financial condition to do a surgery) ... But, there is a scene in the movie in which khatija gives 50 lakhs to Rambo without asking him the reason for money .also, khatija's father doesn't have any problem to give money (even though, he is in low financial condition) .poor logic in so many scenes... But, as per wikki's perception,it's OK to avoid these mistakes... I just enjoyed the movie.. A fun entertainer 😇

But for 'Nandri Kadan' ( don't know how to say that in English) she might have been dating Moby since he liked her.
