Well, since it looks like they retconned creatures to be constructs rather than forcing them to be teleported from distant planes (although maybe they were previously just teleported from places around Dominaria?) maybe it doesn't matter?

@@ginoclaves if it makes you feel better, the whole "die gloriously in battle" thing actually isn't historic at all. It's more of a modern (about 19th century "modern") fiction thing than actual viking belief. That said, vikings of Kaldheim definitely DO go to Starnheim when they die gloriously, so in the context of magic it's still equally mean.

You think being summoned is pleasant? You're literally in the process of doing something, and suddenly you're magically transported somewhere else and being given orders. You'd also need a turn to re-orient yourself
